The pure mass of Denali.

Denali is so massive that it generates its own weather; much like a huge boulder submerged in a river creates whitewater rapids. All mountains deflect air masses and influence local conditions, but Denali rises so abruptly and so high that this effect is more dramatic here than perhaps anywhere else on Earth. This shot here was at 600mm from a long distance away. I absolutely love the peak of Denali poking through the low-lying clouds. The kiss of sunlight doesn't hurt the composition as well. Every time I see this enormous rock, I can't imagine humans climbing to the summit. What a thought.

Career Pivot into Day/Swing Trading

I never really imagined I would spend a large portion of my time looking at charts haha. But I'm thinking about becoming a trader because it seems like the job market isn't getting much better. Currently, I'm sort of swing trading at the moment.

I have to say, ever since the tech mass layoffs happened, the job market has been atrocious. I have never experienced a job market where there are over thousands of applications for one job. And they have to choose one person out of thousands of applicants. It's crazy, and I don't know when this job market will get better. It seems like the layoffs are still occurring this year.

I'm not too worried but I'm also still unsure what I want to do as my lifestyle. I really want to be a designer but the market makes it difficult to realistically make it a viable and sustainable career. So my next option was to create a lifestyle around day/swing trading because I feel like I'm really good at analyzing charts and predicting the outcome. Although, in my wildest dreams, I would actually make a living off from doing trades. It's something I'm still debating about because I honestly don't know how I feel about spending majority of my day glued to a computer screen and analyzing charts. It can be a profitable career but with anything, it takes a lot of work. But if it goes well, then I suppose I would be self-employed.

I really enjoy learning the psychology of the market. It does make me a good investor, but not sure if it makes me a good trader. That's a different mentality I need to overcome. I think I only made 2 profitable trades so far, and it's my only 2 trades I've made this year. I haven't experienced any losses so far and I hope I can keep that up.

After watching Dune 2 by Denis Villeneuve. I really enjoyed the film so I started reading the novels by Frank Herbert.
