Thanks to Kiki, my beloved pair of FitFlop Walkstar 1 (from 2007!!!!) need to be retired. Kiki decided that these sandals make an amazing chew toy - - I hope you had a lot of fun, Kiki!
But this does give me a chance to purchase a new pair for my upcoming vacation in a few days - - hooray for necessity shopping and no guilt!
Luckily, Nordstrom is currently having a sale on the FitFlop Lunetta Sandal [http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/fitflop-lunetta-sandal/3237299]. I picked up a pair last night (while begging for insider info on their upcoming anniversary sale next week) and now my feet are again fashionably supported :)

Warren Buffett has recently flooded my entire social media world. Everywhere I looked, Buffett was offering key career and networking advice to my generation and young women.

When I was going home earlier and finally turning onto my street, I absentmindedly reached for the garage parking pass to swipe in for work. I need more coffee or sleep... or a life.

2013 Boston Marathon Memorial
It has been 16 days since the twin bombings on Boylston Street during the 117th Boston Marathon. Like many other Bostonians, I had endured the citywide lock downs, the countless hours of lost sleep, and the overwhelming sense of terror. I had shed tears and felt my heart break for those who were injured in the blasts and the 4 victims who lost their young lives.
During that week, I developed an unhealthy obsession with all forms of news coverage and I compulsively absorbed everything I could feast my eyes on. I did it out of fear and the need for assurance that somehow Boston and its people have survived this senseless tragedy.
Even though I work only two blocks from the bombing sites, I have avoided Boylston Street these last few weeks. I would state over and over again, "I'm not ready."
Earlier today I decided it was time to pay my respects, so I visited the memorial in Copley Square. Every item and message left behind was touching, sad, hopeful, and an endless combination of emotions.
We will never forget - Boston Strong.
