A slightly off-topic ramble about the animatic:
One day I was watching some "red flags" animations and thought to myself, "It's really a shame I can't find an animation featuring Dottore in this exact way that I'm picturing. It would be cool if someone had this idea and did that." Then I realized that I was, in fact, someone who had this idea
I've been working on this project for two whole months! It was the very first time I attempted making something like this, and it was so fucking hard. I did everything on clip studio and followed this tutorial for everything (many thanks to this kind soul!). I'm really tired.
I didn't really like the result, but I'm in the habit of disliking everything that I make. The real positive here is that I actually managed to finish it. I have some serious executive issues, so I didn't think I could actually turn this seemingly complicated idea in my mind into a real thing. I spent copious hours polishing minuscule details, remaking entire frames, and doing just about anything to avoid calling this project finished. But now it is! And I'm very proud of myself for that.
Anyway, here are some of my favorite frames:
And yes, I really like drawing Dottore. He's my comfort character. That's why I put four of him in the animatic
Shoutout to Baldurs Gate 3 for having a magical girl transformation sequence but instead of a teenager in a short skirt it's a lesbian aasimar paladin in full plate about to open 13 cans of fucking whoop ass
This particular composition has optional vertical and horizontal orientation, depending on where you want to use it.
Thinking through the physics of Neora, I decided that she would not be much different from human husks, due to her experimental organic-made technology.
