I don't think I've told you guys how much I fuck with hypersexual Megumi. And like to be clear I don't mean horny Megumi or whatever. I mean hypsersexual, self-destructive, needy, disastrous Megumi who pretty much always regrets it after and won't even touch Yuuji until he's had a lot of time and encouragement and like 3 STD panels and even when he does he still feels like he'll ruin him by being with him.

so with nobara and maki. nobara does have a crush on maki. that is just what is happening. she admires her and looks up to her and her eyes shine when she thinks maki is cool and she very obviously has a crush on her. and what is interesting about that, to me, is that nobara also does not seem to know maki very well.

like during the goodwill event, you have the nobara and momo fight. and this is momo's thesis on being a woman in the jujutsu world, but she's also talking about mai specifically, and linking those two things in a way that seems appropriate to mai as we know her. and ig with that, i would expect nobara to respond with something to indicate that she herself knows maki very well, that her care for her is connected to her recognition of her, in the way momo's seems to be for mai. and instead she really just reiterates her own world view. which i like and think is a fun nobara moment, but its not something that really speaks to an understanding of maki really.

which feels a bit like a repeated pattern with nobara. bc there's saori, the other cool older girl from the city that nobara really loves and admires and looks up to and is devastated by the loss of. but when we meet saori, while she does have a lot of affection for nobara, its also made very clear that nobara was a child, and there was a lot she didn't understand and pick up on. and idk. feels relevant to the way nobara acts with maki!

what a funny and convenient coincidence for yuuta to be sweet and overbearing like tsumiki while megumi is just as pretty and cunning as rika ♡ it's definitely not toxic at all if yuuta and megumi are drawn to each other for those reasons specifically ♡

The official Jujutsu Kaisen website put out a list of colours representing many of the characters. They go like this:

Gojo Satoru: light blue (literally, colour of the water)

Geto Suguru: yellow

Ieri Shoko: bright green (literally, colour of young grass)

Amanai Riko: pale pink

Kuroi Misato: white

Nanami Kento: ochre (literally, yellow earth colour)

Haibara Yu: gray

Iori Utahime: pink beige

Mei Mei: light blue

Yaga Masamichi: navy

Kong Shiu: dark brown (the "koge" can mean "scorched rice". "Tea colour" means brown. Literally, scorched rice tea (colour))

since you mentioned there are themes of sexual abuse in jjk and you also ship yuuta/gojou (at least I think so? do I remember correctly?) it's sort of adding to that negative reading no?

For yuuta I would say in order of ships I enjoy the most it would be YuutaRika, YuutaFushi, Okkogojo, YuutaMaki, and Okkoita. But I’m not picky really. I like all his ships except yuuta/toge

I do believe there are many instances in the text where you can read allusions to or direct imagery of abusive situations at various characters, even directed at yuuta himself. That has nothing to do with shipping, just an interpretation of the text. That is completely and utterly divorced from shipping. You can’t “add” to a negative view when it’s already a dark subject matter. Making relationships dead dove in a story like JJK is not adding but an application of what’s already there.

Personally in scenarios in my mind where I ship yuuta/gojo it’s pretty divorced from canon or a canon-divergence/AU/OOC or one-sided where yuuta’s the one with feelings first. You’d be hard-pressed to see me ever say Gojo in canon text had those kind of intentions towards yuuta without some disclaimer that I’m thinking of him in some AU or alternate canon… we rarely ever see yuuta in the canon timeline aside from being in fights (or his speech about gojo lmao) so there isn’t really anything to prove that he had been in a relationship with anyone. If I were to say Gojo or anyone else had sexual intentions towards him that would be in the realm of headcanon.

That being said it doesn’t really matter. Whatever characters I ship or whatever romantic interpretations that strike me, I’m usually not someone who will say that my views are *canon*. to me any shipping between characters is headcanons, period. Unless Gege decides to pull a boruto out of his ass and pair everyone up, there are no canon ships in JJK aside from kirakari, everything is up to how you feel like interpreting it.

And if I feel like doing bad things to yuuta or any other character (ie making them a victim of an abuse scenario or whatever) that’s also my perogative. He’s not a real person. And if anything that would be justified in light of this reading of the source material.
