I just saw a post talking about the scene where Dan talks to Kevin after Kevin talks to Wymack and it said that it bothers op bc of the entitlement. They also said something like the foxes mistreat Kevin and other stuff.

I understand the point. I had never thought about how sad it must be for Kevin to not have anyone who listens to his history ramblings until I came across another post, but now I think about it and yes, I'm sorry for Kevin.

HOWEVER. Usually people say that the foxes kind of mistreat Kevin but they forget that KEVIN IS NOT KIND TO THE FOXES.

We saw in son nefes that he was rude and merciless to all of them from the start.

NO ONE owes kindness to someone who is not giving it in return and NOBODY'S traumas are a justification for the way they treat others.

So yeah, maybe the foxes are not the best friends to Kevin, but he never tried either. So nobody's at fault.

Jean and Neil both automatically resorting to saying they're okay—I'm fine, there's nothing to talk about—whenever someone asks them. Neil originally being a backliner just like Jean. Neil telling Jean it's okay to take off the tattoo. Neil reminding Jean he's worth saving. Neil looking over his shoulder out of instinct thinking Jean would be there near him. Neil being Jean's what-if. The 3 to the other's 4. A broken promise. The misplaced forever partners.

I don't know if we realize how important the scene where Neil fights with Kevin in the bus bc he wants to sit with Andrew is FOR ANDREW.

Imagine being Andrew and meeting this kid who's all twitchy and beautiful and thinking he's an illusion but he's there. And he's giving his game to Kevin Day bc for him Kevin Day is everything there is to be and you know that Kevin lost it all but now there's this kid who listens to him ramble about exy and actually pays attention and cares about it when nobody else does and you know Kevin feels like he has something now so you are just waiting for that to happen like "just kiss already".

But you notice that the kid is also looking at you. And he's listening to you and watching. Always watching. Learning your language, getting what you mean without you having to explain. And that is just unsettling bc "what in hell is this guy doing?" What about Kevin?. So that just reaffirms that he's an illusion bc he's not for you.
