Who offers a spider only to instantly want to take it away? So suspicious! And the hints of jail were not helping this strange man's case. They only prompted the pumpkin kid to squint at him with obvious skepticism.

It might have been a hunch on Pump's part, but foul play was too difficult to ignore when it was right in front of him. Did he even know what "foul play" means? He was taking the other's supposed lack of spiders in his possession with a pinch of salt.

The reality was that both of them were now acting very suspiciously. But who was going to be the first one to push chips (or bugs) to the middle of this hypothetical poker table? Not him, of course. He was far too stubborn.
