Imagine your F/O running their hands along the sides of your face, their eyes memorizing every part of your body. You ask them why and all they can reply is, in a quiet yet stern whisper, "you're mine."

You pull away and hide your face in their neck as you grin, unable to comprehend how you got so lucky; how you get to be in this moment with them. Your f/o smiles at your sudden flustered demeanor.

"What's up?" They ask, softly running their fingers through your hair and kissing the side of your head.

"It's just... I mean-" You struggle to come up with a response before finally admitting, "I'm kissing you! I get your kisses!"

They laugh softly before mumbling against you, "Well, you'd get more if you'd stop hiding~" You can hear the smile in their voice. Pulling away, you look into their eyes and are met with pure love and adoration.

You can't help but lean in for another kiss.

There's a term for those who self insert in Japanese, it's called Yumejoshi, Yumedanshi for guys and Yumejin is neutral! It sound cute.

It's okay to be jealous if someone else ships with the same f/o as you! You aren't bad for feeling that way! However it is very rude and not very nice to be mean to that person about it! It's okay to block them, or block their ship tag! But be kind and respectful to eachother! The world needs more kindness more than ever! 🥰

Imagine all the memories you’ll get to make with your F/O. Years from now, you two(or more!) will be able to look back on all the times you shared! All the maybe awkward but so loving first few dates, special kisses you shared in places that meant the world to you two! Funny stories that are still told at every get-together with your friends/families. Romantic gestures that make your heart flutter, even years later!

Just. Being able to go “Hey, do you remember when…” And realizing that ever since then, your love and your bond has only grown stronger with time?

here’s a post sponsored by my momma, who is a clinical psychologist: our brains don’t know these characters are fictional. i mean, they do. kind of. we know on the outside, but our temporal lobe just registers that we recognize their face and that we feel deeply for them. our brains release dopamine and adrenaline because of it. there’s no different kind of dopamine or adrenaline for fictional people vs. real ones. scientifically it’s the same. of course you feel deeply for them. of course you do. there’s no reason why you wouldn’t. you know intimate details about them that have brought you closer emotionally in the same way you’ve learned intimate details about your friends. you empathize with them the same way you would with a person you can touch. people want to give self shippers a hard time for blending fiction with reality or whatever, but that’s kinda how humans’ brains work. it’s not “i love this real person” AND “i love this fictional person”, it’s just “i love this person” and that’s it.
