Let’s talk about mindfulness.
Being mindful in a spiritual sense correlates directly with being hyper-aware of your own feelings and emotions in the moment, what and who we are, and being at peace with these things. Life is often so fast paced, especially in this age, and it’s important to slow down and reflect on the current moment.
Remember that you are NOT your thoughts. Mindfulness meditation can light up parts of our brain that are typically inactive during the auto-pilot mode we tend to enter during our every day routine tasks.
Take some time today to sit alone and observe the present moment as it is, and keep in mind that meditation isn’t about being void of any thought or a wandering mind. Don’t be so hard on yourself, and take life as it comes. Think and release.
