Day 3
Good news, I got feedback from Boris on my project and my idea’s seem to be realistic!
I need to let go of the idea to use a solenoid and stick to a servo motor. I got a bunch of links to check out and I’m meeting him again on Friday.

Day 2
Simple plan, grab camera attachment/laptop/notebook and head towards the academy to ask for guidance on how to implement my ideas into code.
Good news, I managed to make most of those steps! Bad news, when I arrived at the academy my laptop batteries were dead and I forgot my charger :/
So change of plans! Collect previous notes on features for the new prototype and collect them onto one page.
While doing this, I started doubting my prototype, and in typical Zaid fashion my brain ended up confused and thinking of alternative ideas.
This ended with me feeling depressed about my whole project. I needed to get out of my head and to do this I asked for advice. But asking for advice while being confused and end up even more confusing. Which in this case was exactly what I needed? I realised that thinking too far ahead without first taking steps makes it easy to get stuck in thoughts.
So here’s some advice for my future self:
Go through plan A&B before stressing about L,M,N,O,P

Thought of the day:
People understand people better than computers can -> let the computer not interfere, but rather enhance connectivity.
Stay humanistic

30 steps to fame
Follow me and my process towards fame for the following 30 days. I promise to share notes, ideas, thoughts, and experiment's.
I’ll define the perimeters of my graduation project. I’ll finetune my ‘emotional attachment’ device. I’ll share inspiration. I’ll take you with me through some of my emotional breakdowns.
The first question I’ll be trying to answer is: “what are emotional values and why do you need them”

A USB pet rock, which is exactly what it sounds like. Always a shame to see these guys rehomed so soon after the holidays. 😔
Seen at ARC in Loveland, CO.

Church in the wild
-no relation to kanye west
When I was exploring with Anne and her boyfriend (Yusuf) we came across this broken down church in the middle of a suburban Residential area.
Note that this is in someone's backyard...

Grofvuil or free real estate!?
Ok ok hear me out, aren't these 'grofvuil' spots like free ((temp) high-risk) storage places!? I mean I could build a shed there for a week, do protest artwork for a week, I could make an man-cave for a week, have a parking spot for a week....think of all the possibilities!!!

Interesting finds
Is a Viaduct an underrated cinema location? And what about these randomly scattered bike stands? Who's are these and can why are they randomly scattered on a square.

Children interacting with public space
It's interesting to see how a trash bin becomes the perfect 2 person hiding spot. Or how a bench becomes a elevated platform for seemingly important gatherings. It also brought me joy to see kids playing ping-pong with a soccer ball like many of us used to do.

On the first day of school we went to a Quarantine zone which was build for sailors who would come from different countries bringing unknown diseases. On my way there I documented things that caught my eyes for one reason or another. For example the sole fisherman facing the heavy metal construction floating on the water. Or the Monolithic statues set up with no clear purpose to the unfamiliar spectator like my self.
Something that intrigued me was how life found it's way in-between these 'cold' structures. Like the spiders which weaved their webs between the gazing holes of the rusted metal pipes.
Or the bright green mos which grew on the man made rock formations bridging the water from the land. Only existing there where the water can still reach at times, but isn't always submurging.
Fantastical
Apocalyptic
Horror
Life
