Why should you watch Warrior Nun(shipping edition)?

If you know any gays they have most likely spent the last twenty four hours screaming at you that you just have to watch Warrior Nun because it has the best sapphic couple in recent time. But this post isn't about the show itself(if you are curious about the show read this ) This is about Ava and Beatrice aka Avatrice and the amazing slow burn romance they gave us in Season 2 of Warrior Nun. So if you decide to get into Warrior Nun what can you expect from our girls? :

The first is yearning. A HUGE part of this ship is the yearning and both of our girls are not exactly subtle about it

-Next we have physical contact. They are both so touch starved and so in love with each other they will use any opportunity to get close . So many hugs, so much face touching

-Yes Season 2 literally starts with them being undercover in a small village in the mountain just the two of being roomates and working together in a bar all while secretly training in the beautiful mountain side. The show went for all the fanfic tropes. They spent two months living Raylla's dream

-Yes we have jealousy . Oh such delicious jealousy

-We also have lighthearted goofball moments where she just wants to go sight seeing and be with her girl in a new city or where she is dragging her tranqed gir through the streets away from the bad guys

-We have angst but those can't go more then 30 seconds being in a fight before they immediately apologies and console each other

-And of course we have them fighting back to back against overwhelming numbers

-Flying our girl our of danger? Yup. Took that straight out of supercorp's book

-some angst of course

-and finally after the slow burn and a thousand near kisses we finally have a love confession and a kiss right before the big battle

-And of course of Beatrice turning into a one woman army and slaughtering everyone who stands between her and Ava(but she does give them a chance to save their lives first)

So are you ready for Avatrice you ask yourself? Do you have the time? Will it be worth it? And the answer is yes. It will be worth it. The show is amazing and this one of the best written romances in years

Why should you watch Warrior Nun?

What is the show about?

A thousand years ago the brave Knight Arieala was mortally injured in combat. Due to her valor and pure soul an angel appeared and saved her by giving her his halo

This not only saved her life but also gave her abilities. She can heal from almost anything, she is strong, she can see demons, she can phase through solid matter and even levitate. Areala goes forth to create an Order of Warrior Nuns who would fight demons alongside her. Each time the bearer of the Halo is killed it’s passed onto the next Nun who is worthy

Due to a mistake the Halo ends in Ava our heroine

Who is Ava?

Ava is our main character. She is adorabkble dumbass and an absolute train wreck who can’t keep her mouth shut for more then ten seconds. She spent most of her life as a paraplegic in a very abusive orphanage and ultimately died. The Halo not only brought her back to life but it also let her walk again and gave her superpowers.

What about the others?

Not unlike Motherland Fort Salem Warrior Nun focuses almost entirely upon the female characters. This is the story of women and their sisterhood and struggle against the darkness. The four main characters are Ava, Beatrice, Mary and Lilith

Sister Beatrice

Beatrice is perfection. She is kind and honest,speaks half a dozen languages, she is an amazing fighter and tactician and the best friend you can ever have. She is also a huge lesbian

Shotgun Mary

She is a badass with a heart of gold determined to find out who killed her friend and to protect our dumbass heroine Ava. Unlike the others she is not a nun. She just joined them to kick demon ass

Lilith

Lilith is not the most pleasant of people. She has been trained her entire life to be the Halo bearer and is under an enormous pressure from her family and is deeply unhappy that some random girl took her destiny. But she has a good heart deep inside

Is the show religious propaganda?

The opposite. It constantly criticizes the church , their greed and lust for power and how they use and abuse others.

Does the show mock people’s faith?

No. It’s very respectful of peoples faith but it relentlessly criticizes the church

Are there any gay ships I can root for?

Not at the moment. While Beatrice is very obviously a lesbian and there is definitely a spark with Ava there is nothing canon for now
