Just spotted a parakeet near work. I thought maybe it was a pet that got loose, but turns out Texas is one of only three states with an introduced parrot population. There are several species in Texas alone apparently. Had a grand old time at Sherwood Forest Faire today. It was more crowded then I’ve ever seen it since the year it opened, but I still managed to run into friends throughout the day.
