I swear to god I read a fic that had this exact idea but I cannot find it anymore. I give all the credit to that story for making me draw about this.

After Sonic 3, what if Sonic somehow had one of Shadow's bracelets? I think he would hold onto it, keeping it by his bedside As a memento of the only other hedgehog he's met.

After Sonic 3, I wonder if Sonic has nightmares about Shadow, and uses the ring to help

Writing excerpt of Sebby fic if anyone is interested.

He’s fixing a broken section of one of his walls when he hears someone enter the room connected to his vent. Slapping a poster over his half-fixed mess, he turns and calls out to the person he heard, leaning over and pushing the vent off. 

As he leans back, a figure appears from the vent, another following them. As they get up, he hums, “hello t—“ he pauses. He knows that second prisoner. 

That was the one prisoner who ignored him. 

“Oh. It’s you.”

The first prisoner blinks. “Uh. Hi? You remember us?”

He glances over at her. “Only your friend over there.”

Said ‘friend—’ who he was now putting on the Do-Not-Help list— was currently grabbing the keycard, and turning to leave. 

He sneers. “You guys leaving already?” 

“Ah— wait,“ the companion turns and shakes her incompetent friend’s shoulder. 

They turn to look at him and their companion with a raised eyebrow. 

“We still have more to do here,” she say. “Where’s your research? We can trade it with Sebastian.”

To his surprise, the ignorant prisoner actually seems to respond to their companion, and they pull out some files and usbs. 

“They actually responded to you?” He huffs incredulously. “When I tried to talk to them, they just ignored me.”

The prisoner laughs at him, and his eye twitches in annoyance. “What’s funny?”

“Nothing— nothing. It’s nothing. I just— They’re deaf.”

He blinks. “What.”
