he  sat  there  ,  half  lidded  ,  bladdered  ,  drunk  ,  rambling  about  some  terrible  firebolt  spell  he  conjured  up  that  wiped  out  a  good  few  posessions  of  the  family  ;  one  of  the  many  boundary  pushing  experiments  that  got  him  his  apprenticeship  .  but  they  were  stupid  ;  and  his  mispent  youth  ,  reading  instead  of  joining  in  on  his  adoptive  families  hijinks  ,  were  oen  of  the  reasons  he  never  took  into  consideration  that  others  had  lived  far  more  dangerous  lives  than  he  .  even  outside  of  elturel  .

there  is  a  pained  look  on  his  face  as  he  goes  through  the  heavily  hyperbolized  story  of  the  one  time  he  accidentally  threw  a  rock  and  smashed  a  window  of  the  family  home  ;  and  how  much  trouble  he  got  into  in  his  youth  .  it  was  all  the  same  silly  little  things  ,  easily  dusted  over  with  missed  dessert  .  the  man  was  so  sheltered  ,  so  naive  .
