Mira x Rumi x Zoey HCs

Mira and Zoey both knew they were sapphic prior to forming HUNTR/X, but Rumi had never considered the possibility.

Which means it took them ages to actually confess to one another! Mira didn't want to mess up their friendship or make things weird, Zoey was afraid to make the others uncomfortable, and Rumi thought it was platonic to constantly admire them.

None of them made the first move. It was actually Bobby, who mistakenly booked them for a romantic resort on a rare weekend off, and when the girls came back in a relationship, he assumed it was just a really good vacation. To this day, he doesn't know about the heart-shaped bed or rose petals, and the girls still think he set them up on purpose.

On that note, it takes like six months for Bobby to clock that they're all together, and even then, only because he walked in on them.

They usually sleep in a spoon-train, but they rotate the positions regularly. Mira's needs to hold them both so she knows they're not leaving? Big spoon! Rumi needs to feel like she can easily jump out of bed and fight? Little spoon! Zoey needs to be touching as much as possible so she feels wanted? Middle spoon! If they're exhausted enough, they just collapse into bed in a tangle of limbs, though.

Zoey's not just a lyricist, she's a poet. She's super effusive with her words and constantly finds new ways to express how much she loves them, and it still never feels like enough.

Rumi plans all of their dates, mostly because she plans them all so far in advance that Mira and Zoey don't get the chance. They do surprise her from time to time but it takes a lot of effort. And sometimes Bobby's help.

Mira is their scary dog privilege. It's not that Rumi and Zoey can't defend themselves, because they *definitely* can, but her death stare has been known to head off creeps before they ever get the chance to start in.

ya. unrequited nyss/carmilla where everyone knows it's carmilla and laura, carmilla and precious laura, laura's most beloved carmilla

they're capable and they love deeply for each other. nyss admires laura's dedication to reverie's protection, and then it becomes admiration for laura's lover too. those two are some of the few that have earned not just nyss's respect but also her friendship

when laura is lost to the nightmares nyss is the one to shoulder the grief when carmilla is ready to collapse from it all

it's selfish to fall in love with someone at their worst, when her heartbreak is unending

so it's not love, not yet, and when carmilla finds her hope again it's still not, because that would be rather insensitive. nyss doesn't believe in thoughtcrime but it doesn't change how she polices herself

carmilla manages to make the bleakest days beautiful, though. and nyss goes along with it. carmilla is beautiful herself, she has a way with words that's all come-ons and teases and temptation. others' hearts are a delicious distraction from her own

it's fun because piper makes her one-up herself, and who knew the monkey king had a sweet bone in his body, and beowulf has never spoken to a woman in his life if his clumsiness has anything to say about it. nothing's ever expected out of it, only carmilla's own amusement

nyss nods and stays her hand. that's all. she rolls with carmilla when she's always been the one in command as a queen. it goes further sometimes. and further than that, because no one resists it, do they?

it's difficult to get there concerning nyss's curse, but they remain friends, friends with benefits, a happenstance because women have needs and no one to send their affections. one of them's dead and the other is the widower

it's clear laura could never be replaced, anyway. carmilla makes it clear. every step on nightmarish land is dedicated in her name. she always sleeps on the right side of the bed. sometimes on new moon nights there's a sound from carmilla's tent. nyss is intent on staying close to hers so no one else can hear her weeping

always going to be like this. carmilla's probably monagamous anyways. never lets anyone in like her precious laura could. whenever they sleep together as best they can, carmilla rises, wings furled by her breast, and wishes nyss a good night as she flies. she calls her friend and darling all in one sentence. nyss can't find the strength to call her anything but carmilla

even with those she's closest to, nyss is a paragon of pushing people away,

but it's not like carmilla ever wanted to stay
