one of the many things i love about tommy is that they made him incapable of breaking up with buck for all the reasons his 4 exes broke up with him.

he's not gonna break up with buck to find himself like abby, because he already did that. after the 118 and gerrard, he had years to figure out who he is and he made it clear he's not going back to the person he used to be.

he's not gonna break up with buck because the job is too dangerous for him to handle like ali, because he has the same job. he understands the risks, the crazy hours, the unexpected shifts.

they won't have the same problem as buck and taylor, because he already proofed that he's gonna be there whenever buck needs him. he won't betray him to safe his job, he's actually willing to sacrifice his job and his life for something that is important to buck, even when he didn't know that yet.

he doesn't see buck as just one experience like natalia. he already saw the parts buck considers to be his biggest flaws. he was jealous to the point of hurting eddie, he didn't think before talking and hurt tommy feelings during the date, he was reckless to safe bobby and athena, he was bossy during the bachelor party. tommy saw all that, and he loved him anyway.

and he won't break up with him because of his relationship with eddie. since day one, he made it clear he doesn't want to come between the two of them. he understands how important they are to each other and how important buck is to eddie and chris. that's not gonna change.
