i have soooo many thoughts on kurt being an bad person and its drives me crazy cuz i feel like those traits were mostly dropped when Acceleracers hit. he was so awful in WR. like completely selfish and narcissistic. literally okay with killing people. kurt trying to "save" markie in Acceleracers made him seem like a suddenly redeemed person after WR while markie went backwards. they basically just took the bad traits of kurt and put them on markie instead for story arc reasons.

what kinda guy is accused to cheating in a grand prix, gets into shady business that results in his brother getting arrested but not him, and works for a woman that makes him sabotage others for a race - also being cool with it possibly killing others? (people dying was highlighted more in the comic than in the movie)

it is a shame that AR put markie's personality change front and center, making kurt a character who needed to help and be a nice bro to him, in order to help him. i think kurt is a super interesting character is you dont ignore who he was in WR, and thinking about how tempting power and winning is to him. he really only cares about himself, and that can be such a great conflict in this situation of working on a team for the bettering of everyone
