3. How and why did they join the Inquest in the first place? For Yahkha, her start with the Inquest was very circumstantial. She was still in college when they had just barely began, and as a result knew the mega-krewe as a conservative effort to preserve Asuran innovation. Her future (ex)wife, however, scoffed at the idea of joining a krewe and insisted they venture off to build up their own dynasty. Which they did! However, 20 years later, when money troubles finally ripped them apart and the Pact wasn't doing nearly enough to protect the rights of their collaborators... well, she more or less decided to phone in a friend and revisit the idea of investing her patents into something more, uh, lucrative.

Alas, for reasons beyond her control, it doesn't quite work out...

8. How valuable replaceable of an employee are they? Fairly valuable, actually! See, before confirming more serious negotiations on her botany and biomedical research with the Reds, Yah-Yah decided on one last run with the Pact in order to snag her final few pieces of research - after all, SURELY samples from an Elder Dragon of the jungles would yield the answers she needed in turning plants into viable prosthetics for flesh folk! And what better time to go obtain results than when the organization was making first contact?

(Spoiler alert: this is where things Do Not Work Out. But at least she got some valuable experience while in that blighting pod! :^) !!! ) -----

3. How and why did they join the Inquest in the first place? Oh, Imetyl. My sweet, stammering little rat. As someone who was perfectly mid throughout school save for her exceptional written argumentative skills, she went into college to become a lawyer and plunged STRAIGHT into the Red Zone once it became exceptionally clear that nobody would take her seriously over the tremors that have wracked her since she were a progeny. And seeing this was during (my hc'd) time when the Inquest were barely rising into power? Why, slipping right into ranks was easy as pie - no recruiter required. :^)

11. What are their long term goals in regards to being part of the Inquest? Currently, Ime's goals are pretty straightforward: she wishes to shape the Inquest back to its original intentions, and will do so through the courts once she's elected into a judicial position.

(She also wishes to help the friend-turned-experiment that she dragged into this mess of a mega-krewe get out. But that, frankly, is not something she'd ever admit aloud - not if she wants to keep looking politically indestructible. And so she keeps working from the shadows, doing her absolute best to keep poor Yah-Yah away from any malicious actors...)

How do they feel about the Commander and the whole Elder Dragon thing?

as disheartened as I am that I couldn't stick around for the whole duration of the event, I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with the cool unique Asura that I saw at the [DraW] art party and managed to steal screenshots of!!! skin: mainly pale white, freckled. Has pitch black markings around her eyes, ears, and down past her neck along the backside of her torso

tattoos/scars: arms, legs and torso all contain heavy scarring from self-experimentation. The biggest and most recent is a chunk missing from her left forearm that's just healed over, as well as two gnarly chunks missing around both knees

parents: had a golem pilot dad (who she loved) and a golemancy kreweleader mom (who she hated). Lost them both when she was an older progeny nearing adulthood

siblings: none

grandparents: had one (1) swamp witch grandma (who she adored)! Learned most about life from her / eventually came to treat her as her surrogate mother

in laws and others: has 2 ex-in-laws (who she hates). they banned her from rata sum over the marriage contract (though she's fairly grateful for the excuse not to go lol). Also has a rat bastard uncle acting as the current golemancy kreweleader after her progenitor kicked it (and she's fairly grateful for that too, all things considered)

abilities: utilizes a gloopy, corrosive shroud that embodies her hunger (and some subconscious) to carry out her intent. Masterfully skilled in rune, sigil and ward work. Masterfully skilled in all aspects of potion brewing. Adeptly skilled in fighting with daggers both in close quarters and as a projectile. Still learning how to adeptly wield a gun

hobbies: dancing (which she incorporates as she crafts), socially drinking and smoking, reading romance novels (especially paranormal and/or noble related ones), journaling, meditating

most positive trait: generally does her best to keep an equal share (i.e. paying fairly, bartering with low income customers) and uplift those in need (i.e. giving free food to the hungry, selling potions in hard to reach areas). Is also very good with children

most negative trait: being an otherwise cold, distant and judgemental bitch who operates solely on her (very high) standards without ever conforming to what others want. Can also be terribly reckless when enabled

here she is! My wretched little ink blot of an Asura — AKA Zontli!!!

my RP main and muse, she's an old, spindly and crotchety necromancer whose main gig is selling masterfully brewed potions for dirt cheap all around Divinity's Reach (with the stall near the Maiden's Whisper being her typical center of operations). She does so with her longtime golem companion, Smeep, who she begrudgingly built as a progeny and keeps around for sentimental value its occasional usefulness :)

there's a whole lot of extended lore behind her AND her magic, but I think I'll save it for the next few posts heehee
