I was inspired to make a video today.
I’ve always seen these extreme similarities between Legacy of Kain and Dark Souls, so much so that I always make LoK quotes when playing Dark Souls, and that all my screenshots from DS have Legacy of Kain quotes on them.
So, following the announcement of Dark Souls Remastered, I decided to just sit down, and record the clips I needed, to combine the two into one, as I’ve always wanted to though ( though I’ve wanted to make a longer, maybe in the future ).
Enjoy ~

Dark Souls Remastered Announcement
Leaning back in my chair, I picked up a coin and flick it between my fingers. I reflect upon what Kain had once said, that suppose you flip a coin enough times, suppose one day, it’ll land on it’s edge.
But what else was it he had said? Ah yes, I remember now..

" Given the choice - whether to rule a corrupt and failing empire, or to challenge the Fates for another throw, a better throw against one's destiny - what was a king to do?
But does one ever truly have a choice? One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate, and thus defy the tyrannous stars. "

Artist review ============ Many maaaany months ago, almost a year since it was May 2016, I got in touch with IMDSound here on tumblr to commission a piece of artwork I wanted drawn of my character in FFXIV.
I provided a lot of screenshots of the said character, a lot of other relevant images, described the pose I wanted and most importantly - Tiger stripes.
The first image I got, I asked to reduce the breast size since I’m not a breast-type person very much, and also described and showed some more pictures of the backside of Tiger ears and how I’d perceive it to look and all that stuff.
The end result was phenomenal. I am very satisfied with the end product, though I do have a minor issue with it that wasn’t as apparent at first but became more so over time, and that’s the nose which still looks too sharp, along with the face itself having some very sharp features while the character herself is more rounded as you can see on the screenshot. The detail on the Ninjato is exceptionally good, as is the hips that I just can’t stop staring at. The showing of the skin on that specific part ( I asked to have it like Ibuki would and showed pictures of her ) titillates my imagination completely. It’s Faaaan-tastic!
IMDSound is a extremely friendly and cooperative person, listens very very well to the wishes one may have with their specific art and is always willing to change or add things. A very easy person to communicate with.
I highly recommend this one and do without a doubt consider IMDSound again for possible fanart of my Elezen, but I’d like to see other artists as well for that. This was the first piece of art I ever commissioned an artist to draw for me, and I am very satisfied with it.
You can find IMDSound’s tumble here.

These were all the outfits available in Shadowrun Returns Dead Man’s Switch for Mage and Shaman classes. While the game doesn’t really have set classes, it relies more on archtypes and a players freedom of choice, these outfits are clearly meant to enhance the choice of those archtypes.
The primary statistics of both these archtypes is Willpower and Charisma, of which Willpower governs the skills of Spellcasting and Chi Casting while Charisma governs Spirit Summoning, Spirit Control and Conjuring.
The stats for the Casters seems a bit split up just like Adept and Street Samurai would be, but it’s naturally entirely possible to make a pure-Mage and never put points into Charisma and make a pure Shaman by never putting points into Willpower - But you’ll want to get both for the fact of that Willpower also allows you to soak ( resist ) magical spells cast at you, and Charisma unlocks etiquette for conversation options. This however, will be pricey in the end but I personally still managed to have a decent pistol score by the end of the game.
It should be noted, that this was not required in the older versions of Shadowrun as far as I know, or at least not in the Sega Genesis game, as you were free to increase your skills separately from your stats, and you never needed to increase your stats in order to gain new magic and cast them. You just needed to purchase them, and in the pnp First Edition rulebook there was also no limit to how powerful of a spell you could cast - You just had to pay attention to the feedback that would inevitable either kill you, or fry the magic out of you - Permanently.
My personal preference are; Salish Pendant, Urban Mystic Outfit, First Nation Armor, Occult Robes, Corp Mage.
Salish Pendant is a decent outfit. I like the feathers on it and that it doesn’t seem to get in the way anywhere, which makes it a good choice in my opinion.
Urban Mystic Outfit is also a great looking outfit. The Runes on the hood just look so great.
First Nation Armor fits the sort of style type outfit. You have glasses, you have an asymmetric shoulder pad look, and it’s all leather.
Corp Mage is more or less the embodiment of style over substance but with substance. Just like the High Grade Street Armor, it carries with it a certain look that just speaks of something.. Something dangerous, yet truly what we associate with Cyberpunk.. Maybe it’s the Mirror Shades.
And finally, we reach... The One.
The Occult Robes is by far the BEST armor in the damn game for one reason, FOR ONE, SIMPLE, REASON - It gives +1 Body. Oh, oh you don’t believe me. I can tell. But +1 Body is effectively +10 HP and there’s not a single other armor in the game that gives that much. We’re talking survival here, chummers. This armor will take you through the end game because it’s simply so powerful. It also possesses enough style to make chummers frag their pants! The NPC version feature blue highlights, and blue glowing eyes instead of red.

These were all the outfits available in Shadowrun Returns Dead Man’s Switch for Adept and Street Samurai classes. While the game doesn’t really have set classes, it relies more on archtypes and a players freedom of choice, these outfits are clearly meant to enhance the choice of those archtypes.
The primary statistic of both these archtypes is Body, followed by Strength Quickness.
Body governs general HP increase. Strength governs Close Combat, Melee Weapons, Unarmed Combat and Throwing Weapons. While Quickness governs Ranged Combat, Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Rifle and Dodge.
The Adept have also have Willpower, which governs Chi Casting.
While that may seem like a lot of skills, the idea is that you should specialize in a certain form of combat and weapon that you like. If you’re trying to specialize in everything, it’s going to cost a shit-ton of karma since you have to keep increasing say Quickness in order to unlock the next rank in their relevant stats i.e. if you want Pistol of +5 you need Quickness +5, Ranged Combat +5 first.
It should be noted, that this was not required in the older versions of Shadowrun as far as I know, or at least not in the Sega Genesis game, as you were free to increase your skills separately from your stats. Another tidbit in regards to older Shadowrun was that Strength also doubled as a statistic that determined your chance to soak up damage ( resist ), effectively having a high strength made you more capable of surviving.
My personal preference are; Secure Ninja Clothing, Kunai Ninja Suit, Street Monk Outfit & High Grade Street Armor.
Secure Ninja Clothing is among the first outfits you can get in the game and when you get it, it’s actually a really good choice as the +1 Dodge will start to help you immediately in the very first combat situation you find yourself in. It’s also a classic in terms of looks.
Kunai Ninja Suit’s biggest selling point for me is Movement +1, which can allow you to dart to or from cover that you’d normally not be able to reach. if you’re into Throwing Weapons, I’m sure the +1 will help with that.
High Grade Street Armor doesn’t give a single stat increase, but that’s also what makes it interesting in my opinion. It’s style over substance. Sure you get the most armor out of any other outfit in the game, but it’s got style going for it. And that’s what truly counts here. It also doubles as the perfect “ cosplay “ outfit for a typical Private Investigator type character or Rick Deckard, Blade Runner idea, especially since the NPC version of that outfit is brown.
Street Monk Outfit is another one that could qualify for style over substance, except that it has both style AND substance! It’s one of the best looking outfits in the entire game, one of the top three I’d say, and it also comes barefeet. Groovy! Grants +1 to Move ( which I think is Movement? ) and +1 to Unarmed Combat.

These were all the outfits available in Shadowrun Returns Dead Man’s Switch for Decker and Rigger classes. While the game doesn’t really have set classes, it relies more on archtypes and a players freedom of choice, these outfits are clearly meant to enhance the choice of those archtypes.
The primary stats of both these archtypes is Intelligence, which governs the skills of Biotech, Decking, ESP Control, Drone Control and Drone Combat. While that may seem like a little, the idea is that you have to keep increasing Intelligence in  order to unlock the next rank in their relevant stats i.e. if you want Decking +5 you need Intelligence +5.
It should be noted, that this was not required in the older versions of Shadowrun as far as I know, or at least not in the Sega Genesis game, as you were free to increase your skills separately from your stats.
My personal preference are; Golden Boy, Matrix Courier, Milspec Flight Suit, Stealth Rigger & Agent Provocateur.
Golden Boy have that certain look that tells you that, this person will have what you need most likely, somewhere in one of the many many pockets. And I love pockets. That’s how many pockets I like to have, on my clothes.
Deciding between Matrix Courier and Slick Decker Outfit isn’t an easy task but in my eyes, Matrix Courier wins out because I enjoy the coloration better of it. Otherwise they’re pretty samey to me. Skintight sexiness. Though Matrix Courier looks a bit looser and therefore, more comfortable by default.
Milspec Flight Suit looks as the name suggests. Like a flightsuit, with enough cables to hook yourself into your VTOL of choice. Not a fan that most of these outfits make you bald but, eh.
Stealth Rigger & Agent Provocateur look, again pretty samey to me. Pretty sweet comfortable clothing really. Nothing to complain nor to make a fuzz about.

These were the starting outfits back in original release of Shadowrun Returns Dead Man’s Switch. I think they later added a Secure Samurai Clothing or something like that, that added a pistol holster... But I might completely remember that wrong!
I took all these pictures back then featuring my character as I bought every single outfit in the game. I always planned to post them online but, I never did. I think I got stuck in the mental loop of “ I should add the NPC versions as well “.
Either way, this is one of four posts containing all the original outfits.

A look at my ships in Star Trek Online ~
In Star Trek Online, I have shaped my characters after certain... themes. So to phrase myself in an oddly way. Now, I have several characters in STO but the three I play the most is a Federation character ( Alien race, but looks typical human pointy ear ), a Klingon Defense Force Ferasan, and a Romulan Alien ( very alien looking, a race of my own making ).
The KDF’s ship follows the naming rule of using the prefix Tiger’s in front of it all followed by something like Paw, Pounce, Tail and so forth. The Romulan’s ships are more random as I don’t really know what to call them so far, but maybe I should follow the naming rules of my other Romulan character. And finally, there’s my Federation character, whose naming rule has been rather strict except for the TOS - Shuttle ( known as Avalon ), starting ship ( known as the Rainversey ) and Constitution Refit.
Feeling that I wanted to get really into STO and devote time into it, and with all MMO’s ( these days at least ) that I feel that way towards, I’ll invest real money into it. So I got a few zen, enough to buy me some packs, keys ( to sell at the exchange due to their high worth ) and other services and unlock Caitian and Ferasan races. Not all at once of course. And snagging the NX - for 100 zen as well.
The first ship I got was the NX class which was the ship of the show Enterprise where the titular ship was known as NX - 01 Enterprise. It wasn’t hard to think what I wanted to name it at all, as it is my favorite starship of Star Trek universe pretty much, I named it Grey Phantom and gave it a red with grey color scheme. In the Gundam universe, The Grey Phantom was the 7th ship in the Pegasus line to be built, along with it’s sister ship the Troy Horse which was the 6th. While a forum post states they were both sunk at the Naval Review, it’s more likely that the Grey Phantom survived as it is later found crashed on Earth in a mountain range. It is my favorite of the Pegasus line, with the Albion following close after.
Speaking of, I also got the classic Constitution class as well. This one, I decided to name after my second favorite Pegasus ship, the Albion. I figured it only being appropriate after all. Now both these two ships in my head canon as to why they ‘exist’ is because Starfleet decided to build them in a form of 200 year anniversary but with updated tech for the 25th century. That is the RP reason for my character having the Grey Phantom.
As for the NX - 970005 - Z USS Revenger, I was basing it after the design of the Dreadnought class from Star Trek Into Darkness. The RP story I gave this ship was that it was a part of a new line of ship, a trio of them with the letters X, Y & Z, named Revenger, Avenger and... Something more. I don’t entirely remember but their plot was that they were specific fast-response warships, each serving a different purpose, and all smaller than the leaked time-plans of the Dreadnought class of the Kelvin Timeline.
The Thoroughbred, I didn’t have much in terms of plot for it except it got damaged so a refit was necessary. The Blanc Rival I hadn’t written much in terms of plot for either, but I did like the design I cobbled together for it. I am not a fan of the Galaxy class after all so for me to make one that I enjoyed? Yeah, I like that.
Which brings me to the final ship I have acquired so far, the USS / ISS Troy Horse, a Sovereign & Mirror Universe Sovereign class. I really like the design I made for this one. It looks vicious, it looks like a warship, and that’s the RP story for it so far. It’s capable of sharp turns, it carries mines, and it blows shit up really.
I don’t know what I’ll get for the final ship, but I am leaning towards a T6 Federation Carrier. Not the Atrox but the Earth-built one. Thinking I’d either name it White Base to finish it up, or the Aonbarr which is the latest Pegasus Class in the Gundam timeline as it was built in 0096, long after the Pegasus line had been discontinued, and it was built as a means for celebration.
Time will tell, but my favorite ship remains the NX-01 hands down.

Interview with Rockman Series Creator - Good Read
Kitamura: And to be honest, when I was making Mega Man, my biggest concern was that people would think it was a boring, plain game. Little Mega Man fighting other little enemies of the same size with his little “pew pew” pea-shooter… if that’s all people saw, how could they not think it was boring? That’s why, in order to erase that image, I wanted to include some unique big enemies and bosses.
The idea to make use of the bg layer for a boss was something I wanted to do from the beginning. It wasn’t any kind of special fixation on the bg layer; rather, it came from necessity, from thinking about the Yellow Devil’s attack pattern. The only way we could do a boss like that was to utilize the bg layer. At the time, one of the managers at Capcom saw the Yellow Devil and went “Whoa!” That was half the battle right there. (laughs)
