When u end up finding more things u dislike abt something than love about it, it’s hard to keep it positive. And while there are things I absolutely love about the series, I feel like with age and perspective it’s becoming less fun and whimsical.

In working on my AU I’m just realizing that I really disagree like, fundamentally with the setting/story/lore…which is like really fun to work with and it’s the reason I’ve kept at it for so long. But the canon v much still exists, and it’s loud and making engaging with the source material really miserable.

Sidlink got brought up in the ZackSeph server fsr?? And it was suggested I draw The Boys as BOTW zora LMAO It's been a while since I've drawn fish people (I'm surprised at how much muscle memory I still have 🤣). I went with/tweaked the OG belt designs since those fit zora fashion a bit better. Also gave Zack the regular anatomy with teeny legs bc it suits him better lol Seph has mutations or something idk. Jenova reasons.

Fish picks were a group decision - Seph is based loosely on a great white shark, since his theme was inspired by Jaws. Zack is based on an orca for the coloring, and frankly also bc fighting him would be pretty terrifying imo 🤣
