Why didn’t LV secure the placement? There hasn’t been a new campaign in a year and they’re not confirmed as her met gala designer. I’m confused as to why LV is missing all of these placements.

LV got a ton of placements on the “Challengers” Press tour. They got a placement in both VOGUE spreads. Their Spring campaign has been out. They aren’t missing any placements at all.

A hollywood star of her power couldn’t say no or refuse it stop making excuses and hold her accountable for her mistakes she is not a flawless god

Everything you see in the magazines from the clothing in the editorials down to the suggestions in beauty trends is predetermined by whoever secured the advertising for it. Magazines top priority is always pleasing their advertisers because they want/need the funding for their future issues. The talent can choose who they want for hair and makeup and styling but what gets featured is ultimately determined by the advertisers. If LV had secured the ad space for the cover then the LV look in the shoot would have been the cover but they didn’t, Dolce did so Dolce got the cover.

Homophobic & racist dolce & gabbana for the recent vogue cover really? I thought she will never wear it after met gala but i guess that what happens when a spineless fake ally like her exist :)

🙄 That is not her choice as Dolce & Gabbana is an advertiser for Condé Nast and whoever buys the ad space for the May cover gets their look featured on the cover. The look would have already been Dolce regardless of who the talent on the cover was.

Alessandro to Valentino? Thoughts? My curiosity is piqued at least

That is so out of left field because I’ve been hearing since last year that he was being secured as the new Creative Director to revive the Walter Albini brand. The Walter Albini job makes more sense for him than Valentino because his aesthetic fits Walter Albini more than Valentino.

Kering is also in the process of buying out Valentino from the Qatar family that owns it so the Kering execs might want a Creative Director that can also sell product. While Pierpaolo Piccioli was phenomenal at Couture, Valentino didn’t have any signature anchor product to sell with the RTW outside of those Rockstud shoes. He also tried to bring in a younger demographic with the pink collection. Meanwhile Alessandro’s Gucci was a big seller for Gucci so that is probably why they want him. But his aesthetic for Gucci had me missing Tom Ford’s Gucci which is why the reaction is mixed. He would fair better at Walter Albini for sure.

Why do you think Armani was chosen for the Oscar’s?

I think her dress was designed around the jewelry

Have you seen the deuxmoi rumour about LV supposedly being unhappy with zendaya for not wearing enough of their clothing? It sounds ridiculous considering they are the one that gave her the flexibility to wear other designers, so what outcome did they did expect? Would love to hear your take on it!

I don’t believe that sh*t because if they wanted exclusivity with her then they would have put it into her contract. Another telling sign about her flexibility is that also allow her to edit their looks to her taste for red carpet and photoshoots. It makes zero sense for them to grant her that much flexibility and then get upset because she exercises it.

LV is also a leather goods brand first and foremost before anything else and Zendaya is consistently seen carrying their leather goods in her every day life.

The Green Carpet Fashion Awards is Camera Nazionale’s event so there was always going to go with an Italian brand over a French brand for that.

Between both Dune press tours LV got three placements which is around the same amount of placements that Valentino got on the first one when she was their Ambassador. LV got placement for the official premiere in Paris where they are Headquartered. They still got a placement during Oscars week. Also LV is leading the placements for the Challengers because they got the placement on the ELLE cover, the official promo shoot, and now the tennis match so she will utilize their looks where they fit.

Oscars fashion is a big business and industry in itself. Those looks are planned and confirmed in advance so the PR of the brand would have definitely known what looks she was planning to wear to the Oscars ahead of time, it is highly unlikely that a designer would blindsided that their look wasn’t chosen at an industry event.

PP out at Valentino wow

Not even surprised, his entire final collection was all black looks so he was definitely ret ta go. Hell even his apprentice left for Gucci. I can tell that his heart wasn’t in it anymore because his last couple of collections have been subpar(same with Tom Ford before his retirement, he didn’t even create a final collection just put on reissues of his favorite sellers). He’s had a good 25 year run, which is longer than most Creative Directors these days, he needs his own house now.

The red carpet was BLAH! only a few good looks, very little to be excited or inspired by. He probably just wants somebody to tug his wig a little on the red carpet.
