Please help Bisan!

Last week I made a post to raise awareness my friend Bisan Salah, who I've been speaking with for some time. She is trapped in Gaza with her family facing immense hardship due to the destruction of her home and life, the onset of winter, and the continual threat of violence. Originally, she made fundraiser primarily to buy a new tent to replace the one her family currently lives in, which is damaged by the elements and unsuited to protect them from the coming cold.

However, since then, the situation has become more urgent. Bisan, who has been working day and night to try and find food and water for her family, was hospitalised with malnutrition just this week. Her life is in danger. Her situation is unsustainable without outside help—help that we can provide.

Bisan needs £8,000 both to buy the tent her family needs and also help pay for vital necessities such as food and medicine. This is not something that can wait a long time. Currently, she is only at £1,774 of that goal. Compared to other fundraisers this is very achievable. Just this week I was able to dedicate the spare money from my paycheck to her campaign, and I know that a lot of you also have steady paychecks and cash to spare. You may not think it's a lot, but donations add up. If you can't donate, please share so that this can reach more people!

Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in G@za P@lestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to fear, instability, and starvation, thirst, and poverty in northern G@za.

Since 389 days until now, We haven't had a single piece of fruit or even a single vegetable! For more than a year we have been living without any kind of meat, chicken or fish, we live without healthy food or clean drink, one meal costs us more than $100 per person after prices increased by 20-25 times, can you imagine the severe malnutrition we suffer from? I know for sure that you can't help all families that want your help but at least you can help those who come across your life.

I sincerely hope you can empathize with our dire situation and consider supporting us.

And yes, even the smallest amount can help because it's all about a collection of these small amounts until we reach our final goal and be able to rebuild our lives.

We used to live in peace and security and I had a job, but the war came and took everything from me, first of all my brother Mahmoud, who was martyred in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital. He left behind his children and wife, and my brother Ahmed, whose front leg was amputated in the same bombing. I lost my house, my family's house, and my job. Now we have become homeless, moving from one place to another. We are gripped by fear, terror, and hunger. My daughter suffers from extreme fear and panic, and suffers from lack of food and skin diseases due to the lack of water and cleanliness.We are in dire need of your help. We call on you to fund this fund to save my family and provide safe shelter, food, drink, and health care. Your donation is no matter what can happen to us in our lives. It's really fortunate that asking someone 'what does your tattoo mean?' isn't as en vogue anymore now that tattoos are so common, because if someone asked me that about my tattoo they would get the most annoying answer ever. It's a half-formed thought that I spent a couple years rotating around my mind, then in early 2020 I got it tattooed semi-on a whim at a dodgy cheap tattoo place, it looks kinda bad and I've spent the past five years attaching meanings to and finding meanings in.
