I would say that Asri's in the first camp for the most part. When he introduces himself its Asrickus or Asri, he doesn't really seem to have a preference between the two. But I think he's grown to like his name, he doesn't like when the twins come up with other nicknames for them (yes the twins were trying to be irritating but I think my point still stands).

Names - A discussion with BoundSMP references :]

Names are an interesting concept. They mean different things to different people. For some people, they're merely something you have and were given. Just a calling card, as significant as a phone number. For others, their names are part of their identity. They choose that name.

We can see that with certain characters, and as it is my current fixation, I'll be using BoundSMP as an example. Honestly, most BoundSMP characters fall into the second camp- they chose that name and they use it. This also applies to how said character treats nicknames.

But Aeros is sort of different. While it pretends to be something else quite often, Aeros is Aeros. That's it's calling card. Technically A.E.R.O.S., but it lets people call it whatever. Doesn't matter. Unless it's pretending to be something else.

But then we have characters like Navi and Evren. For Navi, it's name was one of the only things it actually got to choose, which makes that name very important to it. Even it's manner of speaking isn't quite something it controlled. But Navi chose to be Navi. (And Aura helped Navi have that ability).

Evren on the other hand chose his name, and it is important as his identity. Evren is Evren, and Evren is a boy. His name is not merely a calling card, it's a statement of who he is. A bit like Navi, in the chaos, his name is something he got to choose.

A third character is Vick! Vick's full name is technically Maverick, but it's very obvious that there is a name he prefers to be called out of the two. They introduce themselves as Vick- not Maverick. Vick is sort of a middle ground in here because he doesn't seem to hate the name Maverick- just has a preference.

There's so many other things but I'm not writing a thesis paper here so x-x

Anyways I think names are super cool. Names mean a lot to me and its cool seeing them matter a lot to other people and characters. Or, alternatively, how names matter to each person and character!

I have a theory..

So Asrickus' house had a bunch of cobble towers around it.. asri thinks its a prank.. but what if it wasnt?

Ic thought the wack was a prank early season 1.. and after he tore the one tower a bunch appeared later

Like how the quixis stuff works...

It could definitely just be a prank- *however* there are just enough similarities to the wack that I'm thinkin' 'bout it.
