this is why I dont like liking people

I always feel like I'm fading the sun excruciating me in ways. I feel like a shadow sometimes. When I'm hanging with a friend or a group of people, and I realize that they are far greater than who I am in that moment. It felt like I'm giving them power over me that led me to become a shadow of them. A shadow that mimics everything I like about them, every movement that makes other people adore them. this is not about idolizing them it's about me turning myself into a shadow because I couldn't get hold of myself.

I hate liking people because it's much easier to hate them, so I can have my own self facing them not a made up person who mirrors their movement so they can like me.

I just want to stick with whoever I am that is not based on people liking or hating me.

I wanna be me.

I wanna know me.

I wanna be the sun once in a while.
