GW2 AU where you befriend Balthazar instead of killing him.

Like, no one will annoy the Commander anymore because there’s a big furious god right behind them who’s 1000% ready to throw hands. At first, the Commander’s his only friend, but then all the guild manage to befriend him, especially Rytlock and Canach. But just the Guild. To everybody else, he is very scary. Imagine the chaos…… >:3c

(You also befriend Balthazar’s cute sword and sometimes it follows you ♥️)

And that also solve everything bad : no one die (the commander, Vlast, Aurene, …), Kralkatorrik doesn’t get a boo-boo to his tummy, Joko ain’t free, you can go straight to Jormag and stop Braham’s bullshit, Aurene has a childhood, etc etc.

The only inconvenience is that you don’t meet the Judge, who’s a very nice guy.

Like come on Anet, I play RPG to befriend enemies, not to kill them!

I think there were probably sea shanties that have only existed in Tyria for the last 100-150 years, all about Zhaitan raising Orr from beneath the sea.

Lion's Arch, old Lion's Arch, was rebuilt and founded by pirates and brigands. Many of these people probably lost friends and loved one when Orr rose, or witnessed it themselves and barely escaped with their lives (y'know, like Cobiah Marriner himself).

Songs about always being wary of the Dead Ships. Drinking to forget the eyes of the Risen shining beneath the waves.

Hell, songs about the Maw attacking Lion's Arch.

I can't write music to save my own life but if I could I'd absolutely play around with this idea.

y'all know it's canon that guardians are rarer among charr, yeah? since guardians are so faith-themed and faith and gods are so stimgatized among the charr.

ofc you can have faith in, like, the Legions (and let's be honest, 90% of charr do) but the whole concept of 'faith' as explicitly embodied by guardians is rather a squick to them.

nonetheless! guardians are powerful. lots of good, hefty healing. lots of bashing. lots of bang for your buck with guardians. just. eeeesh.

that means guardians are rare enough that every SINGLE time Rytlock runs into one, the mere fact of them being a guardian is 1) notable and relevant, and 2) reminds him of Logan

Rytlock just can't get away from reminders of that guy huh

There's a lot of hilarious events in gw2 but Canach, Logan, and Rytlock arguing over battle formations in Thunderhead has to be the funniest.
