If you struggle with self-care and see this, stop what you're doing
Have you eaten in the last 4ish hours?
Have you had something to drink today?
Can you have something, even if just milk or water or cup’o’noodles or toast with something yummy on it, if you haven’t, please?
If you have any injuries, can you please take care of them for me
Also please take any meds if you should and haven’t, yet?
Whatever you have or haven’t done today just know you’re super strong and I am so proud of you
Okay you can go back to blogging now~ <3

Quote
“Why do people have to be this lonely? What’s the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?”

Connecting Portraits of Lonely Souls with @deltalex
For more haunting portraits from Alex, follow @deltalex on Instagram.
“#Hellomynameis Alex Benetel (@deltalex) and I’m a 21-year-old student and photographer from Sydney, Australia. My earliest memory of photography was when I was 11 years old. My parents gave my brother and me each a disposable camera to use on a trip to Europe. I only had 30 frames and didn’t want to waste them, so I remember really thinking about the composition of each photograph. But it wasn’t until I was 15 that photography really grew into a passion of mine. After taking a visual design course in high school, I was introduced to pinhole photography. I was overcome with inspiration and immediately started experimenting with self-portraiture.
“Someone recently described my photography as exploring the stories of ‘lonely souls.’ I was intrigued by this analysis because, for me, photography is a form of self-expression. I see a lot of longing in my work. As both a young artist and a person, I’m still trying to find my way in the photography world and, ultimately, in my life. Like everyone else, I have big dreams that I hope to achieve one day.”
