I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

As someone who plays to have fun and isn’t particularly interested in minmaxing my characters at all times, I can’t say whether I’ve given her the most amazing build, but goddamn is she killer. She quickly outstripped my Acheron, who was my first real monster of a DPS.

of course that probably just says something more about power creep but even so

I had had no intention of pulling for her so I’m really glad I gave in and did! I just wish I’d been able to pull her signature LC and really make a monster out of her!

me believing the hsr “character build suggestions” in-game mechanic and farming the wind set for days upon weeks to get the best pieces possible for anaxa and all the nice and informative folks putting out videos about him are using the quantum set 🤡

I am so curious about the general hype around the HSR x Fate collab. I’ve only touched one Fate game and I think it was not the standard kind (something arena fight-ish… it sucked but I don’t judge the series by it) so I can only assume it’s wonderful and people are super excited for that reason.

But hoyo’s last collab was?? Horizon Zero Dawn?? And it was complete trash?

Now, I have read that the general expectation is that this one is much more in-depth, fully formed characters that will supposedly slot into meta, and have story content. And of course I shouldn’t judge. But I find it so strange that you’d use the limited in game currency on a character that’s not even from the game and will (probably!) never have any further story content, and the content they do have will probably be loosely connected to the actual HSR story if at all?

I’m assuming the people who are most excited are more interested in powerful units for endgame content rather than connective tissue, but isn’t it more likely than not that their meta usefulness gets ignored pretty quickly?

This affects me not at all of course, to each their own, and I may even have my mind changed upon release! But I’m genuinely so curious as to overwhelmingly excited reaction as someone whose only hoyo collab experience was a half-assed and completely useless version of Aloy with no constellations and no synergies. I feel like there must be something I’m missing and I want to be apart of your world LOL

Of course, I’ve said it before, but any banner I’m not interested in is a blessing for saving jades, so no complaints here of course.

Extremely random WuWa post! A couple months back or so, I put wuwa down because I had too much going on to play it, and told myself I’d keep an eye out and pick it up again when Changli reran. I got to play her as a trial Resonator (I think it was when I got to Somnium Labyrinth) and I had big heart eyes.

I completely forgot to keep an eye out and just happened to start it up one day right at the end of her rerun banner.

Really glad I threw everything I’d saved at her. She’s a joy to play. I pull pretty judiciously in wuwa because the time-based currency is lesser and it just takes days upon days to build any characters, and I’m still quite behind in Union level, etc. The banners have lesser pity counts, and currency is fairly easy to gather, but I do find the HSR still pulls out ahead for FTP (or low spend like battle pass and daily).

I’m pretty sure she’s re-running again as part of the anniversary. I will probably pull a new character rather than her wave band, but it’s a hard choice!

Just about finished with 3.1 (i am a little behind lol) and I have to admit I’m a little confused by Mydei’s departure. It seems very final what with the farewells and the implication that he won’t be coming back, but I don’t why that would be. Maybe it’s being unintentionally undercut by the meta of the player being able to go to Castrum Kremnos at any time, and the fact that the characters made multiple trips there since our arrival on Amphoreus, but it doesn’t feel cut off or like there’s no way back. And I have to admit I don’t really understand why he went there in the first place. To hold back the tide? Okay, I guess…

(It’s worth nothing that sometimes the long minutes of motionless dialogue really start to blur for me, especially since hoyoverse has a strategy of keeping things very vague and elevated in an attempt to not reveal too much of the greater story arc…I still feel like I don’t have the best grasp of what actually happened in Penacony, lol)

Would love to hear thoughts on this because it was hard for me to feel any real gravitas about the situation because I was mostly like “but why? I don’t get it.” lol
