It’s set now. You can now find me over here.
PSA
I will be making this blog into a primary blog.
This one will be archived, and I will begin preparing a dormant primary blog.
The blog that will be turned into this blog is dragons-of-avalar. The muses for that blog have long gone, and I also think it will be easier for people to find my Lance RP blog if it is a primary one.
This one will still stay though.

Spoke too soon...
Feel like crap again.
So, with that being said, I will not be on tonight.
Tomorrow’s gonna be busy, AND I’m gonna be seeing Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Side of Dimensions with my sis tomorrow evening (provided everything goes as planned).

He opened his mouth, only to close it as he observed Haz’le. She had pulled out a small bag which appeared to be made from leaves. Inside it was some kind of ointment. He wasn’t sure what it was, but she said it would help.
“Yes, I do.” Thank God for that. He started getting to his feet, wincing as he agitated the wound. “I just have to go get it.”
Blue, the wonderful Lion she was, lowered her head and opened her jaws for him. Lance slowly made his way inside and grabbed the trauma kit. Then he slowly made his way back out. “Got it–ouch!” He sat down right there and then, one hand clenched around the wound. Why me? Why?
Haz`le walked up to him. “You gotta take off your shirt,” she said. “I wont be able to wrap it up properly otherwise.”
Once he had done that she examined the wound carefully then applied some of the salve onto the wound. “This is made with a special herbs, they have some of my magic in it. So it will help it heal even faster.” She smiled.
Nodding, he peeled off the upper part of his Paladin armor and body suit. He observed how careful Haz’le was when she assessed the wound. Then when she applied the salve, he almost squawked at how cold it was. But it was soon followed by a drastic decrease in pain, and before his very freaking eyes, part of the wound HEALED.
“Holy quiznak.” Eyes were now widened like an owl’s as he stared at what the salve had just done for him.

“I can walk.” Lance repeated, shaking his head to clear the dizziness in vain. He didn’t flinch when his shoulder was given a squeeze. Then came the next question.
“Yes.” He shuddered, forcing back the urge to puke. “Shiro, I’ll be fine. I just need some rest and I’ll be okay.” His face turned another shade paler, and the bile began to rise in his throat. Finally his legs gave out again, and he nearly slipped out of Shiro’s grip.
There was nothing but ringing in his ears, and his vision went blurry. On top of that, he retched a second time. Luckily for the clean-up crew he had nothing left to throw up.
He rubbed Lance’s back as he retched once again, his flesh hand pulling back the Paladin’s hair. “You don’t look fine.” He stated, holding back a frown. Once Lance was done retching, he gently picked him up, being careful to not upset Lance’s stomach and cause him more dizziness.
“You don’t have to force yourself to act strong. It’s okay to be weak once in a while.” He muttered, waiting for Lance to give him the signal to start walking.
Before he could protest, he was scooped up into Shiro’s arms. He barely registered what he said, but it hit home. Lance gave a shaky nod, signaling that it was okay to start moving. He shut his eyes to keep the tears from coming, and wrapped an arm around Shiro’s neck. The other arm went limp, dangling like a piece of string.
He could already imagined the worried faces of his friends, and it made his heart ache. This was exactly what he had been trying to avoid, and it happened anyway. It showed just how big of a screw-up he really was. “’M sorry...”

It was a major drag that the healing pods were still out of working order, resulting in the team having to use more…primitive measures.
Lance had gotten sick and injured in one shot, which was a new record. One he was not proud of at all as well. He was now stuck in the infirmary, with a raging fever that went unchecked by his suppressed immune system.
He had tended to the injury himself, and tried to put up a tough front. He had to contribute to the team. Otherwise he was dead weight. So, he had ignored his fatigue, the pain in his leg, and the fever. That is until he collapsed during a celebration on a planet they had liberated. One minute he was leaning on a pillar, and the next he was on his back, surrounded by concerned faces.
It was Shiro who carried him to the castle, and Coran who assessed the damage. Allura was shocked upon learning that Lance was injured as well as sick with a high fever. She tried to ask why he didn’t ask for help, but he was delirious from his fever and the pain in his leg and was unable to answer.
And only now was he drifting back into consciousness, and with no recollection of what happened after he collapsed. He felt a cool cloth over his forehead, and could feel bandages over his wounded leg. The room was cold, causing him to shiver. The shiver then triggered a coughing fit, for which he twisted his head to the side. When he tried to speak, he found out that was particularly painful.
“W-where are we? How…how’d I get here…” His words were slurred so badly it would be a miracle if even Coran could make out what he tried to say.
“You passed out Lance, you’re more injured and sick then you believe you are.” Shiro explained in the shortest form he could. Everyone including himself was worried about Lance’s well being. They all knew he wanted to be out there fighting, but if he didn’t take care of himself first then that will cause some problems down the road. Fortunately or unfortunately depending how one looked at it, Shiro was the one who had to make sure Lance stayed in bed, now meaning two lions were out of commission. “You just need to lay down a few days and you’ll be back on your feet again.”
A few days? Was Shiro out of his gourd!? He immediately tried to sit up, groaning as his muscles screamed in pain. A searing jolt of pain ran through his injured leg, eliciting a sharp gasp from him. He flopped back onto the bed, hissing in agony.
“W-we don’ have that kind of time...Zarkon--” He was cut off by another fierce but brief bout of coughing, gasping for air when it passed.

🏥 Care for your sick/injured muse.
Shiro being the oldest was now taking care of Lance, the kid seemed to get a pretty nasty fever on top of being injured, it honestly seemed like the universe was out to get the kid.
Shiro pulled out a chair and sat next to him as he made some green tea and cool cloth over Lance’s forehead. It was something that his mother would do for him and his brother when they were sick, and it usually worked, sometimes. On top of that he also changed Lance’s bandages to make sure the injuries didn’t become infected. “You’re be out of here in no time.” he tried to offer some support, Lance probably hated being in here when he could be out flying the blue lion.

Shiro’s voice startled him, almost making him vomit a second time. However, he heard the worried Paladin’s question, and shook his head no in response. No he wasn’t alright. He’d just thrown up, how could he be okay after that? Lance’s head hung low, his chin almost touching his chest as he forced the rest of the nausea back.
About a few seconds later it registered in his brain that the leader of Voltron had just seen him at a weak point. Splendid. So much for keeping up his tough front. He shivered as he tried to get his feet back underneath him. He hated how badly his legs were shaking as he tried to hold his own weight. “I-I can walk.”
“Lance.” Shiro spoke in a soft but stern tone. “Your legs look like they can barely hold you. You need rest and I’m willing to carry you to your room.” He was worried for Lance. He didn’t know how long Lance had been sick for and he didn’t know the cause of it.
His mind, however, snapped back to when they were training and how the Blue Paladin had looked. He frowned, his grip on Lance’s shoulder tightening by a small amount. “Lance, were you feeling like this during training?”
“I can walk.” Lance repeated, shaking his head to clear the dizziness in vain. He didn’t flinch when his shoulder was given a squeeze. Then came the next question.

Lance choked when he heard Blue paraphrase what Coran had said. “The saying is ‘nip it in the bud’. Yikes…” That created an image he hoped the healing pod would erase from memory.
It was silent for several minutes after that before Blue spoke up again. This time it was about Pidge. He lifted his head, ignoring the stars that came out when he did. “Let her message through. She won’t shut up until she knows I’m fine.”
He braced himself for the tongue-lashing that was to come.
The lioness purred in agreement and reminded her paladin not to move too much. She allowed the transmition to relay, making sure that the volume was set low in case Green’s cub decided to yell.
“Lance!” She decided to yell. Thank the stars the volume was down. “What the hell happened?! Are you okay?? The comms just cut off and Green told me that Blue did it but I wanted to make sure and, just, seriously you okay over there? Hunk says the hatch is locked and he can’t get her to open it. Does Blue do this all the time?”
Blue was happy about the concern the Green’s cub showed for hers. It was always nice to see the pride being so close.
“You don’t look so great. Coran says he’s getting a pod ready for you. Think you can hold out til then?”
“Pidge, cool your jets. Blue an’ I just wanted to stretch our legs for a bit. That’s all. I’ll be fine, really.” Lance sighed, blinking hard. “Though I will say that Blue locking the hatch is a first for me.” When did it become hard for him to speak clearly? “It’s just a cold, I’ll be okay. I don’t need to go into a healing pod.” With that he laid his head back down, a hiccup jerking his body.
“Blue...you don’t have to quarantine me y’know. Let ‘em in.” His words were rapidly becoming slurred, and the dizziness and double-vision was terrible. “S’fine, really.”
'Cub! I require your assistance in my hangar. Please come to me post haste.'-Blue Lion (blu3t3amrul3s)
“Coming!” Lance jumped right up to his feet, and made a mad but giddy dash towards his Lion. He loved to spend time with her, as it was an opportunity for them to strengthen their bond and do even better in combat.

Keith rolled his eyes and returned to his spot beside Lance. Why would he mess with her stuff anyways? Turning his attention back to Lance, he sighed again.
He hurried into the bathroom, grabbing a hand towel. He folded it up before running it under cold water. How did Lance even get this sick? Last he checked they hadn’t run into any diseases on the most recently liberated planets. Pushing the thought aside, he turned off the faucet, and returned to the bedside. He laid the towel over Lance’s forehead, then he took a smaller hand towel that he’d also soaked. This one was run under lukewarm water, unlike the larger one, and it was dabbed on Lance’s neck and chest.
“Keith…what th’ hell are you doin’…” What was the Red Paladin doing to him now? “Don’t get weird with me dude…”
“I’m doing you a favor, you dork. Pidge’s off to get Coran, leaving me to cool you down.” Keith was quick to respond, but his voice lacked the usual fiery attitude. Instead it was laced with concern, which further confused Lance.
She was honestly glad Keith was there. She had no idea how to take care of sick people. She barely knew how to take care of herself sometimes.
She raced to find Coran, checking everywhere–the bridge, the teledav room, the lab.
“Dammit, Coran, where are you?” she hissed to herself, panting slightly.
Coran was just coming back from the kitchen when he collided with Pidge. He hadn’t expected her to be charging straight at him, and she nearly knocked him on his rear. “Pidge! What is the matter?” She was panting like she’d just run a lap through the whole castle, and she looked worried.
While Pidge continued her search, Keith managed to get Lance’s shirt off. And, though he had promised not to touch any of Pidge’s stuff, he did tamper with the temperature setting of her room, lowering it. Lance was showing only a little improvement in his condition. And, deciding that he was coherent enough, asked him one question. “Have you gotten any sleep at all lately?”
Keith was right in that Lance was now coherent enough to understand what was going on, and the question hit home. Hard. Enough that it made his stomach churn, and he turned his head to the side, away from Keith. “No...” He was too tired to try and put up a front with Keith. He already looked weak, so he had nothing to lose. “I...I haven’t slept in days.”
“Why?” Keith wanted to yell at him, punch him in the arm and shake some sense into him. When he got no answer from Lance, he shook his shoulder lightly. Lance had made himself extremely sick by depriving himself of sleep, weakening his immune system. That wasn’t like him at all. “Don’t tell me it’s nothing, either. You wouldn’t be as sick as you are right now if that was the case.”
Lance’s lip quivered, tear-brimmed eyes squeezed shut. He felt like he was going to vomit again. A whimper escaped him, and he opened his eyes enough to see Keith’s expression soften. He was torn. He wanted to stay strong for everyone else, but he also needed someone to confide in. But he also knew that Keith would tell Shiro, and then the Black Paladin would hound him to death until he talked. “Nightmares.” He choked out. His stomach lurched, and he retched into the trash can over the side of the bed. He felt one hand push his hair out of his face, and the other settle on his upper back as he threw up.

“L-Lance, I’m sorry,” she said faintly as he finally went silent. He must have been thinking too hard about home again…or something. All she’d done was gently tease him for the tears rolling down his face.

Suddenly there was silence over the comms. “Blue, what are you doing?” He opened his eyes and tried to lean forward, but the dizziness was too much for him, and he had no choice but to lean back in his seat.
Another surprise came when they landed. He gave a surprised squeak when the chair was tilted back and the lights dimmed. Then Blue told him what she was doing.
He was too shocked to answer. How did she know before he did that he was falling ill? That was…that was just strange. He should have known first, not the other way around. Perhaps their bond was just that strong.
Sighing, he resigned himself to his fate and relaxed. It was only for an hour after all. He removed his helmet, and scrubbed at his face with his hands. He knew better than to argue with her from past experience. Then he heard the hatch lock.
Oh crap, she meant business!
Blue purred for her paladin, a soft rumbling that vibrated the seat gently. She went to lay down carefully so as not to jostle her precious cargo. The lioness sent her thoughts to her sisters, calming down the others in the pride before they tried to break down the door to her bay and pry her cub from her.
Like they ever could, though.
‘Cub, I am getting word from the Adviser that he shall have a healing pod readied for you shortly. Better to nip this thing in the bum now before it gets any worse, he says.’ Blue chuckled. ‘Such a way with words, that man.’
As she got comfortable and let her head rest on her paws, she felt a transmission try to push its way through her blockade. It was Green’s cub and she seemed worried. Blue huffed at Green to let her cub know that he was fine but apparently the tiny human was hellbent on ensuring it with her own two eyes. Blue would roll hers if she could.
‘It seems that Green’s cub wishes to speak with you. Would you like me to let her message through or should I relay a simple video to her?’
Lance choked when he heard Blue paraphrase what Coran had said. “The saying is ‘nip it in the bud’. Yikes...” That created an image he hoped the healing pod would erase from memory.

“Those are supposed to be used only as a last resort! Trust me, I’d love to just throw him in one myself, but we can’t just throw him in there every time he sneezes.” Keith sighed, shaking his head. “Alright, you go and get Coran and I’ll stay here then.”
“Will you just make up your mind?” Lance slurred, shielding his flushed face with an arm. “I swear I’m gonna puke on you two if you don’t stop arguing.”
“Why? They’re there, and they’re cold enough to break a fever, probably! He wouldn’t need to be in there longer than a few minutes!”
She scowled, resisting the urge to stomp her foot like a brat.
“Fine. If you figure out how to cool him down, I’ll officially be impressed. And don’t touch any of my stuff!”
She turned and headed out of the room, racing to find Coran.

“Yeah, probably.” Lance nodded, smiling as he turned Blue around to return to the ship.
As they made their way back to the castle, Lance felt a dull headache begin to form behind his eyes. He shrugged it off as just a little cold. He had been feeling slightly out of sorts today after all.
-Lance, where have you been!?- Hunk’s worried voice chirped over the helmet.
“I’m fine. Blue and I were just out for a little ride.” He answered calmly. “We checked with the princess first before we went.” After Hunk’s relieved sigh was heard, the chatter from the rest of the team sounded off. That didn’t help his headache at all. In fact, that just made it worse.
He continued to assure them he was fine, but the headache advanced to dizziness, making him squeeze his eyes shut.
Blue watched silently as her paladin tried to fend off the noise from the rest of his pride and noticed the sluggishness. Ah-ha! She knew it. Blue immediately cut the comms in his helmet off and once they landed she made sure to tilt his seat back and dim the lights of the cabin. Time to go into mama lion mode; as her cub once elegantly put it.
‘You are in the beginning stages of the Earth illness known as ‘the cold’. I am quarantining you for the next hour as I relay information to the Adviser and scan you for any further complications.’ She spoke softly to her cub, trying not to agitate what was no doubt a migraine caused by his cold.
‘If there is anything you require before I set the locks to my hatch please let em know.’
Suddenly there was silence over the comms. “Blue, what are you doing?” He opened his eyes and tried to lean forward, but the dizziness was too much for him, and he had no choice but to lean back in his seat.
