I had scouted this location a week before our shoot, right as the weather began to change. My fingers were crossed for the entire week leading up to our shoot that the beautiful flowers would still be alive when the time came. And, they were. 🌻☺️

I wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen with shots into the sun like these but I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out. I was afraid that the exposure metering would be completely off, but this backlight/halo effect is exactly what I was hoping for. This photoshoot was a really great experience because I got to try a bunch of different ideas/techniques that I hadn't tried before while seeing how my camera and shooting affects one another.

This next set was so fun to shoot! Dylan Zywicki was a wonderful volunteer model (I volunteered him myself) and super great to work with. He didn't even complain when I made him walk through the mud to get this shot. 😜
