The Oklahoma City Zoo is excited to introduce two new Sumatran tiger cubs, a male and a female, who are thriving after passing their first veterinary checkup. Born earlier this month, these critically endangered cubs are growing rapidly and will soon make their debut in the Cat Forest after spending time bonding with their mother.

She’s not a cat. She’s not a mongoose. She’s something entirely her own.

Meet the fossa — Madagascar’s top predator and one of evolution’s strangest masterpieces.

With the body of a cougar, the tail of a monkey, and the agility of a squirrel, she dominates the island’s treetops with silent, fluid precision.

This mother? She doesn’t roar.

She waits. Watches. Guards.

And beneath her paw — the future lurks with wide eyes and hidden fangs.

Despite their power, fossas are ghostlike creatures, rarely seen and critically threatened.
