Hey guys, I’m still alive (and actually active on tumblr), but for the past few days I’ve been struggling with my Zelda blogs and lack of inspiration for these muses. I am not planning on abandoning this account or Zelda’s blog, but it seems like I’d better put them both on a hiatus for now. I am more active in the Fire Emblem fandom (Azura in particular), occasionally checking up on my Persona 5 accounts. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but I couldn’t just sit here and wonder if I should try to write more here or give myself a break since forcing myself would do no justice to anyone, my muses and partners alike.

“That’s reassuring to hear.” Ruta was glad the Zora lived such a long life. It allowed her to hold onto her treasured friends for decades upon decades. “I look forward to seeing how your healing powers improve, though! That’s something I can’t really help you with, but I’ll always be there to cheer you on.” It made her wonder though if Mipha would be more suited to be outside rather than confined to a Divine Beast. Ruta didn’t think for a second she wasn’t a capable pilot, though what if her healing powers were needed? What if something happened? Such a power was unique to her. No other Zora Ruta had ever seen held such a power… although, if she was needed, it would be fine to step away from the battle, wouldn’t it? Ruta and her previous pilot had to dip out of the first war for a moment, after they’d gotten into a rough spot. Maybe she was just getting overly worried.
“A miracle… yes, I think so too.” Ruta couldn’t explain how this part of her came into being. From the moment the Sheikah powered her on, she wanted to be, and so she did. To give thanks to the ones responsible for creating her, even making her guise in their image to be closer with them.Â
Ruta would give anything to keep Mipha safe. To keep the rest of the Zora safe, too. If something bad ever happened to the Zora Champion… that would be on Ruta. She wanted to be able to return with her to Zora’s Domain after this was all over, to hear the triumphant cries and shouts of the Zora and to tell the story of their battle to them all.Â
“A celebration?” Ruta would repeat, wide smile on her own face at Mipha’s suggestion. “That’s a great idea! We had one of those after the first war too, and it really boosted everyone’s spirits! The Champions brought specialty foods and items from their nations, and we were all up so late just… talking and learning more about each other. It was really a great time, so I’m totally behind this idea too!” She was excited–she wanted to begin planning right away, but there were more pressing matters to deal with first. They had to prepare, and then they had to win.Â
“We can cook all sorts of seafood dishes, maybe some fish stirfry, or seafood paella…” Well, it looked like she was going to get ahead of herself anyways. Even something as simple as thoughts of a celebration afterwards instilled a fire within her– a fire burning fierce and bright, giving her the drive to succeed.
“What do you mean you can’t really help me improve my healing powers?” The Zora Princess wondered teasingly, as her question was obviously rhetorical, just like the one she brought up at the beginning of their conversation. Unlike Mipha, Ruta was no healer. She was built and born to be a warrior... no, a guardian. Yes, that was a much better way to describe her. But it was the Divine Beast’s supportive nature and kindness that inspired the young Zora to keep moving forward not just as a Champion who represented her nation but as a person. And this was more than enough. ”Knowing that you’ll be rooting for me as I pursue my studies will help me more than you can imagine, how can I possibly ask for more? Besides... I may have no desire to become prideful, but maybe, just maybe I will want to brag a little each and every time I improve my skills. Just a little, I promise. Not only that, but you and I will still need to watch over the Domain as its Guardians. After the war, we will have plenty of time on our hands, I’m sure I’ll be able to manage it fairly well. You’re my friend and I will always enjoy your company, and I would never, ever throw it away.”
Boasting was not by any means a part of Mipha’s nature, but the princess felt the need to bring this up in hopes of comforting Vah Ruta — perhaps, it was just her imagination (admittedly, Mipha’s intuition was passable at best; it wasn’t bad, but it was definitely was from stellar), but there seemed to be a small hint of sadness in her voice, and all the Zora Champion could offer without drawing too much attention to what could be an assumption, therefore giving the Divine Beast more reasons to worry, was subtle comfort and reassurance.
We will prevail. And we will live, always by each other’s side.
But all her grim thoughts and concerns were brushed away the moment she saw her friend meet the suggested idea with overwhelmingly contagious enthusiasm that brought a smile to the Zora Champion’s face. It wasn’t so surprising to hear that the predecessors of current Champions needed a celebration just as much as it was needed now. Just a little something to look forward to, something that would keep their spirits up high at such trying times. Simple pleasures of life that made it worth fighting for. And maybe the almighty Goddess would forgive her for allowing those small plans overshadow the greater cause and duties that awaited them... for now, that is to say.
“Then... maybe we could arrange it the same way the previous Champions did, sharing our cultures through our customs and food.” Mipha finally said with a soft yet a somewhat sheepish smile, as if apologizing for daydreaming and getting carried away all of a sudden, keeping her friend waiting. “When the war is over, we’ll gather together, bring food, we’ll sing and dance until we get too tired to even talk! Now, to be honest... I’m not very good at cooking... or singing... or dancing.” As list went on, she couldn’t withhold an awkward chuckle. “Not that I wasn’t taught any of those things, but when war is approaching, priorities are just... different, right? I’ve got a lot to catch up on, it seems. But I’m looking forward to it. Oh! And we should tell Princess Zelda and her father too! They’ve done so much for us.”

“I’m flattered that you’d say that, really… I hope I’ll be able to teach them well, but… I also hope that won’t be for a long while.” Ruta had enjoyed Mipha’s company greatly so far. In her mind, Mipha was the right choice for her Champion, and she was more than thrilled when she was able to properly meet her. She, too, didn’t want to keep anything hidden or secret from Mipha either. Openness and a willingness to have an open heart with each other only aided in helping their bond– not that it really needed it anyways. They both got along well enough, Ruta already cherishing her as a friend.Â
“I’ll make sure the pride never gets to your head. Don’t worry.” Because there was a difference between feeling proud and having an ego, though Ruta couldn’t ever really imagine Mipha getting to the point where she was overly prideful. “We’ll always support you! Me and everyone else are all rooting for you, and if you ever feel as if your burdens are too heavy to bear or you feel alone, I’ll be here.” Ruta just prayed they’d be able to thwart the Calamity when it arose again. She really liked spending her time with Mipha and with the rest of the Zora. All she wanted was to have peaceful days afterwards with those she cared for most.
Ruta would laugh a bit. “They really did outdo themselves. In reality, we’re really just meant to be more powerful Guardians with better functions. The Guardians were created before us, and they tweaked that formula when we were made… maybe tweaked it a bit too much, but it worked out in the end! I like to be able to have my own experiences, my own thoughts and feelings… I like being more than just an object.”Â
At Mipha’s question, Ruta would nod. “Mm, of course! We all were together when we were first created, so we got to meet then. After we were gifted to the respective races, Rudania actually accompanied his Champion when Zora’s Domain was first being built… the Gorons helped with heavy lifting and mining, and he’d come down with his Champion. He’s kinda quiet sometimes… which is totally the opposite of me! We got to spend a lot of time together, but I don’t think he was fond of all the water… As for Naboris, she’s really fierce! She has a strong heart and a strong will. She’s strong in general, and is not someone you want to have on your bad side. Medoh is a free-spirit, always with their head in the clouds and wanting to try new things or see new sights. They’re… very hard to tie down and keep in one spot. They’re all really great, and I have no doubts they’re doing well at teaching their Champions too.”
“Oh, I assure you, I am not planning on leaving you anytime soon! When the war is over, I want to focus on improving my healing powers, but I will never abandon my title of the Zora Champion, and we will keep looking after our nation for as long as possible. And I plan on living a long, long life.” No one could predict the future, and neither could the Princess of the Zora nation. With the inevitable return of Calamity Ganon coming, not even the Champions, the rocks of their nations’ foundations, could know for sure what lied ahead... which meant that they had to be prepared to sacrifice their lives for the greater cause. It was a simple truth they had to make peace with for the sake of this world’s safety... but oh how good it felt to remain optimistic and plan her future, no matter how distant it seemed.
“Thank you. Thank you very much, Ruta, it means a lot to me. Not only your words, but everything you and my friends do for me... and, since we are on the subject of gratitude, so does your existence. The Sheikah might not have planned this, but thanks to them, now we Four Champions have such wonderful friends. Isn’t it a miracle?”
Mipha wanted to protect Vah Ruta. Not because she underestimated the Divine Beast, no, such a silly thought had never crossed her mind to begin with, but because Ruta, too, was an individual, and this war was going to take its toll on her too. There was no way they were going to get out of it completely unharmed, as the memories of the war would haunt them for days, years and centuries, fading little by little, but always lingering somewhere at the back of their minds. This was inevitable, so all the Zora Champion could do was try to minimize the damage.
But upon hearing the answer to her question, Mipha smiled, allowing herself to take the upcoming battle off her mind at least for now. She couldn’t really explain why this knowledge was so important to her, but she always found happiness in things many would consider mundane or even dismiss as unimportant. But to her, they were important. She liked to know that other Divine Beasts were individuals too, with personalities of their own, that they, too, were building their own relations with their pilots. For reasons even she could not fully comprehend, — but was there really a need for it? — those simple facts warmed her heart.
“So they do, indeed, reflect their nations? Such bright, strong personalities, I’d love to meet them someday...” The moment a sudden idea crossed her mind, Mipha’s lips curled into a wide smile, her yes gleamed with overwhelming joy. “I know! How about... yes, after the war, how about we all gather together to celebrate? Champions and Divine Beasts, all of us. We will need a break afterwards, I’m sure our people will allow it.”

oh no youre totally fine djgh im sorry if i came off as weird or anything!! i could see the divine beasts taking on any form really, like if naboris was more patient than ruta and waited to see the gerudo she could totally base hers on the gerudo instead of the sheikah, like medoh could also very well be a rito as well instead of sheikah! or even a hylian honestly, there really isnt any rules to it
This is pretty much how I saw it, each of the Beasts taking whatever form they pleased, a form that they felt represented them the best. If I were to write Naboris, I’d definitely stick with either that girl or Lilith Sahl as her faceclaim. With no rules for the Beasts’ spirits’ appearances, there is room for creativity, which makes it so much fun.

diviineconstruct replied to your post: With the Divine Beasts getting their spirit...
honestly that also could be the case; the only reason i made ruta a sheikah was because zora icons would be hard to find, but naboris could totally be a gerudo!
Oh, I’ve never questioned that! In fact, it all made perfect sense to me, I thought, “But hey, these Beasts were built by the Sheikah, so maybe I am getting carried away?’ But since there were no rules about it, I thought it could be open for interpretation. Maybe Naboris herself would choose this form, or maybe it just happened randomly.

With the Divine Beasts getting their spirit interpretations (which I enjoy very much), it suddenly hit me that the spirit of Vah Naboris could probably look like this???
#( the beasts were built by the sheikah but with nations in mind )#( so there is a chance naboris would look like a gerudo woman )#( just a random thought )#( i don't know if there is a vah naboris blog so it's just my vision )#;; ( ooc )

@zorachosen ♥’d for a starter!
What a wonder to behold! The long ornate entrance lined with arches made it feel like a portal into another world, and to the ranch hand, it was.
Malon felt a bit out of place, but coming to visit the Domain had always been on her list of things to do. But she never would have imagined she would meet royalty during her short stay, much less have a conversation with one of them.Â
“I gotta say, your home is pretty impressive! It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be!”
Before the girl spoke, Mipha observed her reaction in respectful silence, waiting for her to voice her opinion. Proud of her nation and heritage, the Zora Champion smiled as her heart fluttered with joy each time the visitors’ eyes gleamed with awe — the Zora were a graceful kind in every aspect of their nature, from their bodies to their culture, and there was nothing that represented it better than the Domain, the finest work of art ever created by her people.
A soft, gentle giggle escaped Mipha’s lips as she nodded in response shortly after, therefore accepting such high praise as she couldn’t help but take it a little personaly, for, after all, her family represented the Zora as a nation.
“Thank you. It certainly is — as you’ve already noticed, we Zora live in harmony with water and everything that lives within it, and such kind words coming from a foreigner mean a lot to us a nation... and to me as its Princess.”

From now on, my activity will be kind of limited as I’ve got an exam to prepare for if I want to continue my education. It shouldn’t be too exhausting as I’ve got plenty of time time on my hands, but it is definitely something I must pay most of my attention to. I will keep my blogs on, lurking during the day, but I must apologize for being slow from now on. I’ll do my best to find balance between studying and my hobbies.

đź’š!
đź’š - friendship
Oh my gosh, yes, yes, all the yes! A century ago, Gaddison was a child, and I believe Mipha loved playing with kids (having a little brother herself). Such bonds would allow us to explore our muses’ past, but I also like the idea of a scenario in which Mipha survives and gets to see her friend become a confident and strong member of the Zora society. Now, don’t get me wrong, I believe that Champions’ sacrifices were incredibly important to the plot, that I cannot deny, but wouldn’t it be lovely to see childhood palship turn into real friendship as time passed?
