Ed’s beard is just beginning to grow back in and Stede has some ginger scruff of a similar length. They look as though they are sleeping deeply for the first time in their lives. 2. Full body of Stede and Ed in bed, laying over the covers and giggling together. Stede is wearing a nightgown and has his back mostly turned toward the viewer, legs tossed over Ed’s hips and kicking happily. His arms are tucked between them and he is blushing with a grin, eyes closed, as they press their foreheads together. Ed, seemingly wearing nothing at all, has his knees tucked up under Stede’s and one hand laid over his arm. He is grinning happily, equally flushed, and staring at Stede’s face with loving eyes. His beard, though still rather short, has begun to take shape and Stede is clean shaven. 3. Chest up of Stede big-spooning a sleeping Ed in their bed, the state of their facial hair the same as #2. They are both under the covers, Ed shirtless and Stede in a nightgown, Ed’s hair and arms strewn comfortably over the right side of the bed. Stede has his face pressed closely to Ed’s neck and is smiling contentedly, squeezing a handful of Ed’s tit with his free hand. Text above him reads “titty grab” with a few hearts. 4. Full body of Lucius reclining on some supply bags with Pete laying against his side, head and right hand on Lucius’s chest. They are both dressed down, sans jacket vest and belt, but clothed. Lucius’s right arm is around Pete’s shoulder and Pete’s left arm is sneaking up to hold Lucius’s right over his stomach. Their legs are tangled together comfortably and Lucius is placing a kiss on Pete’s head. Pete, eyes closed in bliss, smiles. 5. Waist up of Ed and Stede laying facing each other in bed, both shirtless with the covers pulled up over them. Stede is asleep, eyes closed and lips slightly parted, his left arm draped over Ed’s waist and the other trapped beneath the pillow, hand laid just behind Ed’s head as if he had fallen asleep petting his hair. Ed is still awake and flushed with love, right arm laid over Stede’s to drape over his back, left arm squished in the negligible space between them as he extends his fingers slightly to nudge Stede’s chin. Ed is so close to Stede that their noses are overlapping and staring at him with heartbreaking tenderness and love, the tiniest and most content of smiles gracing his mouth. 6. Full body of Oluwande and Jim standing together fully clothed and kissing. Jim has their arms thrown around his neck, hands in fists, and is smiling into the kiss despite themselves. Olu is leaning hard into the contact, flushed and always a bit surprised, arms loosely fitted around Jim’s waist. /end ID]

marine biology is so scary because it’s such a small field. i was giving a talk on cetaceans and afterward a woman approached me with her husband and she said, “you did very well. [husband’s name] actually pioneered the research and published the first paper on that. We were very impressed by you.”

Which is such a scientific interpretation/public education win I will cherish forever but also for the rest of my life any time I give a talk I will be haunted by the knowledge that the world’s leading expert who literally discovered/invented the topic might be in the room,

which is like, the opposite of what you’re supposed to do for stage fright. In fact I never used to experience stage fright but now I will.

okay americans i gotta ask because as an European i grew up with lots of american shows and cartoons and in a lot of them there was an episode where they give the protags a doll or an egg or a bag of flour or whatever and told them pretend to be its parents or something

i was cuddling with my boyfriend last night when his shoulder started tensing up (like he was readjusting or gently pushing me off) and when i asked him if he was okay or needed me to move or something he went “no you’re fine, i was just imagining myself pulling a large rope. i didn’t even realize my shoulder was doing that lmao” then refused to elaborate and i have never been as attracted to him as i was in that moment.

Ed heard the word 'boyfriend' come out of Stede's mouth, got into over the top flirting mode, realized it happened in front of everyone and got so flustered he started talking about cats. The man is fighting for his life
