u articulated this so well😭😭😭 tbh my memory of tpot is a bit fuzzy so i didn't bring up any other examples outside of gaty but ur point abt one going after basketball, fanny, icy because they needed/needed help with something nd would have more of a reason 2 sign bcuz of that... so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm seeing quite a few people calling the contestants who signed one's contract "stupid" when I don't think that's a fair assessment of the situation...

especially in gaty's case where its clear she didn't want to sign it in the first place and because of that refusal one decided to up the stakes, completely draining the yoylelite of its power so the contestants couldn't go back in time..sky starts falling yadda yadda yadda... to FORCE gaty into signing their contract to save the rest of the contestants.

and even besides that, the contestants r being sent to this idfk different dimension??? and they're all frazzled n stuff,,, probably scared and confused and just want to go home.. so sure signing the contract isnt the best decision ever but I think calling contestants stupid for doing so feels reductive :(
