send me a misconception you think people have about my character and I'll explain if it's true or not.

“  don’t  …  look behind you.  ”  

he knows he’s the center of a few too many stares after the debacle that just occurred.  he really was a fool to think this would work  …  all he’d done was offhandedly say he wasn’t alone on valentines day when his friends had asked.  nagito was one of the few in his company during that,  and the other’s stare was always a little too  …  attentive.  maybe that’s why all this had to happened.  because he could make hinata sweat.  he could swear komaeda’s eyes lit up when he said that.  

(  ‘ people usually spend valentines day with their significant other’s,  don’t they hinata-kun ?  ’ )  

it wasn’t exactly a nosy question.  it was rather roundabout,  even,  since he could tell komaeda was curious,  but not curious enough to be  “ disrespectful ”  (as the other might say).  either way,  hinata isn’t sure what compelled him to answer yes to that  but as soon as he did,  all eyes were on him.  souda was yelling,  kuzuryuu had guffawed,  akane had given him a pat on the back and  …  komaeda was visibly surprised.  he doesn’t blame him.  he lied  !  he was surprised by himself too.  his hand was forced !  it’s not his fault.  and yet  …  he does feel mildly guilty.  especially because,  mikan had shyly piped in that  …  he’d spent valentines day with gundam.  the implication was there.  he didn’t mean for that to happen.  but everyone got even more obnoxious after that,  and before they could fit any more questions in,  hinata had hightailed it.  

it was just his luck seeing gundam on his way outside of the building,  especially when he could feel the gazes of all the other remnants of despair on him.  luckily,  they weren’t moving or following after him.  just  …  sneakily watching from the door’s crease.  (  if the situations were inverted and it was someone else in his shoes,  he knows he’d be right there with his friends,  nosy and watching as well.  )  he knows they’ll leave him alone,  if only because they want to see how he’ll behave around gundam.  

his palms are clammy,  and he’s looking elsewhere as he links their fingers together a little too abruptly.  they’ve done this before.  a lot of times,  even.  but in public  ?  that’s something else entirely.  it’s not hard to tell hinata is having a difficult time with all this,  but he put himself into this mess so…he’ll deal with it.

   Had it been ANY other, they would have been fool enough to not heed the warning. Their head would have swiveled around only to draw in MORE suspicion to themselves. It is a good thing, is it not? That Gundam Tanaka is a POWERFUL sorcerer who knows when to LISTEN? He does not turn but the stiffening of his body is noticeable. He can FEEL them. The barrier that surrounds his body may protect him against PHYSICAL threats but not from prying and curious eyes. They scream of blood lust...or perhaps, it is more apt to say they scream of lust for knowledge.  

   This is NOT something novel. He is used to the curious stares of bystanders where ever he goes. Even more so when the Dark Devas of Destruction decide to make their presence known to mortals. The attention that his hamsters draw is not an unpleasant one. Many people react favorably towards them. Curious to know how they survive wrapped up in a scarf they call home (very easily -- the material is breathable and his minions roam freely through his jacket). He is amicable to this attention. It is one that he can understand and it is knowledge that he is most willing to bestow on all that wish to learn. 

   Attention that is focused on HIMSELF is another matter. His attire in the words of society may be ‘flashy’ but he cannot help what he likes! Everything that goes on his person is PRECIOUS to him. Nothing, from his scarf to his earrings, is without meaning. He could do better at avoiding unwanted attention by dressing down but such is not his way. It is why he has a LAIR! To retire to his lair is not HIDING no matter what others may say. He is a busy soul and his hands are full caring for those unable to. He has no time nor desire to pay any outsiders any thought.

   ...but these people...they are his...and loathe he is to admit it (though not truly!)...friends. Their staring is much more difficult to ignore but he does so. If for Hinata’s sake. It must be a testament to Gundam’s strength for he does not flinch when CLAMMY hands link their fingers together. He merely tightens his grip where he would have once pulled away. It is not ...often that he sees his companion so...nervous. It should make Gundam nervous but strangely, it does not. It calms him. It gives him strength. 

     “I...see.” No, he did not! This was exactly why he did not MEDDLE in the affairs of humans but -- he was here now. There was nothing to do but to play along. “...so it is HIS doing...AGAIN, I see. It is ALL coming together, is it not? His THIRST for misery has led him to entrapping two souls once again.”

    The GREAT feats of this pastry chef have reached even HIM. What humans have to say does not concern him but he would be a fool to not keep one ear open to hear SOME news. To COMPLETELY isolate himself like so would be inviting DANGER upon himself and those in his care.

   Where was he?

   RIGHT! That is ... her EXPLOITS have reached him and he is here, of his own will, to test the integrity of such rumors that had spread like wild fire throughout the school. No one is better suited to testing the truth. He is aware of the exaggerations that usually follow. After all, he has been the center of many rumors himself.

   He approaches her calmly, arms crossed with a stern stare that zeroes in on her. “Your skills are nothing to scoff at if what THEY say is true -- but hear this! You have not truly won your title if you are incapable of alchemizing treats worthy to be consumed by beasts such as the fearsome Cerberus. Do you not agree? ...for what use are pastries if they are unable to enjoy them with us...?” For such treats are meant to be enjoyed with friends! Even friends who could not normally do so! / @sekisuji

oh  ?  he is being  …  crushed  ?  this is what he likes to see.  this is the affection he wanted to witness from his friend.  honestly…his sappiness from earlier are mixed with just an ounce of…mischief.  so  —  he too is squeezing more and…

   Play with a god and you will come to regret it...that is the only advice that can be offered at the moment. He KNEW it...there were traces...all signs pointed to it being so...Loki had multiple children, did they not? ...perhaps...Hinata was one of these impish children lost to the world only now to be found -- ready to wrought chaos upon their return. 

     “Did I say I was lowering myself to your level? Do you not see? You have LEVELED up, Hinata Hajime ... once where you were level one ... you are now ...level three.” His voice may be QUIETER but the conviction behind them is NO less. “Yes, yes...rejoice...you have a valuable ally on your side. Those in Hell ... they tremble at our joined forces. All those that stand in our way will fall by our combined strength.”
