I couldn’t help it, I needed to draw them in the iconic Princess Mononoke scene.

You know, I do like the idea of kataraxzuko because, if they went with it that would have shown just how the world was changing. I feel that in some ways, zuko and katara did help each other to find peace and closure, and they were both on the same level mental and maturity wise.

And like, I think that Zuko would have done A LOT to make up for what the firenation did to the water tribe if his wife was of the water tribe. And that would have shown true progression. Not saying that Zuko wasn’t progressed or humbled, but I mean, we know that he feels guilty for the treatment of the water tribe, and I think he’d do all he can to give them rights and repay them, even if that meant integrating some of them into the fire nation.

And I’m pretty sure many of Katara’s people would follow her into the fire nation as well, and she could establish some rule and class along side Zuko, whom I believe would treat her equally because given he is fire nation, they are pretty much advocates for gender equality (more so now given the changing time).

And I think making two of the  main characters, who are from different and opposing cultures get together to try and ease all the tension and stuff that the 100rd year war brought would be efficient and would send a good message.

AND QUEEN KATARA OF THE FIRE NATION WOULD BE BAD ASS.

And just bcs she’s queen of the fire nation doesn’t mean she’d drop her water tribe culture. I think Zuko would try to preserve that, and would make sure that the fire nation never stepped on the water tribe culture again.

And it would be every empowering for a woman like Katara, to be in such a very high position but treated equally and held in reverence by the people who once opposed she and her people.

Like I am a little upset that there was a possibility zuko x katara could have been canon.

And it would have been made canon in a way where it wasn’t cliché at all.

Zutara Week - Fire Lady 

For this topic, I was very excited to design a fire nation dress for Katara. When I was younger, I used to design fashion clothes for fun =p So it felt like revisiting an old passion. I focused on some asian elements, the royal aspect (hence the gold), and the fact that the climate in the fire nation is very hot. Also I tried to sneak some modern day fashion trends in there =p

 I had so much fun with this one! Hope you like it ^^

when you realize that katara went from catching a fish in a bubble to imprisoning herself and a firebending prodigy when she was literally 0.049028342930 seconds away from getting her face blown off

when you realize that katara after being a master for only a few months brought back the worlds last hope from the DEAD

when you realize that katara travelled across the fucking globe to find herself a master who turned out to be a sexist poophead but proved him WRONG and learned how to fight and became a FUCKING MASTER HERSELF

when you realize that katara fought for womens right to learn combat in waterbending and changed the policies and laws and rules in the noRTH SO GIRLS COULD FIGHT!!!!!!

when you realize that katara taught herself how to catch a fish in a bubble bc there was no one in her tribe to teach her bc they all got wiped out

when you realize that katara had to teach herself basic waterbending while the other gaang members had INSTRUCTORS

when you realize that katara went from holding up water for two seconds to pull up an entire fucking ocean to destroy a fucking factory

when you realize that katara only after been kept in a bloodbending hold and watched hama performing it on her and her family literally bloodbent THE BITCH from killing her BROTHER AND BEST FRIEND

when you realize that katara literally sucks out the water from plants and trees and the air to use it tO PROBABLY KILL SOMEONE WHEN 6 MONTHS AGO SHE WAS TRYING TO CATCH A FISH WITH A BUBBLE

when you realize that katara called her brother and master out on their sexism and they ended up recognizing women for their strength and ended up teaching women combat too, like do u even think about that

when you realize that katara went from learning how to bend a makeshift umbrella for herself to sTOP THE RAIN FROM FALLING ALTOGETHER

when you realize that katara was seconds away from killing the man who killed her mother but didnt bc she is so much better than that and so much better than what a killer could ever be ( much better than anyone could ever be tbh )

when you realize that katara was only eight years old when her mother was burned alive in her own home and her father left them to fight in the war and after that she had to stop being a kid, stop having fun to take care of her brother, her elderly grandmother AND HERSELF while she was still a kid

when you realize that katara literally puts everyones safety and happiness before her own no matter who it is

when you realize that katara can kill you and youre ok with it ( you probably even want her to kill u lbr )

hi! i saw the list of fics you just posted and i was wondering if you had any fic recs yourself? i just really really want a (WELL WRITTEN) complete not-OOC canon/canon divergence zutara fic but i'm new to zutara fic and i have no idea where to start

First of all, welcome to our ship and to our community! I hope your time with us is amazing (^___^)

I’m not sure if I’m going to be of any help because what I consider not-OOC might be very OOC for you, mainly  b/c I have a very romanticized view of these two.  Also, because I’m very old school with my fics and tbh RL keeps me from reading most new fics out there. So if you can’t find anything you like in my list, be sure to browse our  fanfic tag.

Long time no see

I remembered this blog and came back to it. As you can probably guess, I am no longer active. I still love Zutara but I don't think I can come back to this blog. I am surprised to see that I still get notes although I am no longer active, it's nice to see that this blog will continue to be a home for Zutara shippers. This blog is a nice reminder of my love for the most perfect ship in the world and this fanbase. I just wanted to post this little message since I'm feeling nostalgic ❤❤
