Take the lie to your grave. Don't lie to your friend again pertaining to the same situation, do something different.

Forgive yourself for telling the lie because for whatever reason you thought it best to do exactly what you did, which was to lie.

Next time guilt pops into your mind tell guilt to suck money balls because guilt should have helped you during the situation that created the reason that made you decide to lie in the first place.

This is how guilt works……

You make a choice to do whatever you did, you complete that choice with no guilty conscious, then here comes guilt trying to make you feel guilty after the fact.

If what you did should have made you feel guilty, then why didn't guilt go into your conscious before you did what you did?

Because guilt is a negative that only comes around to torment us after we had no problem doing what we chose to do, without any guilt present in the first place.

When guilt comes lurking around your thoughts like an intruder trying to break into a peaceful home, tell guilt, I delete you and I stand by my choice, you are not needed here. (Repeat that message over and over until guilt runs like a thief in the night who has been exposed by a bright light.)

It’s soo great how we went from “strangers” to “I accidentally came across you while you were vulnerable and scared and i am not a total asshole so i tried to help” to “accidental mutual uncovering of softer sides and vulnerability” to “ I can’t be mean anymore, not out of pity but because it would feel weird betraying the brief truce we had” to “Fine i ll make an effort to be nice to you i guess” to “ now that we are not hating each other you’re not so bad i guess” to “ i think we’re friends but i am not going to say that because i am afraid you are not going to feel this way” to “strangers again”

Nervousness is all about me i keep shying away from things as if they are going to hurt me but in the end its me whos always proven to be more toxic
