I found a bunch of these little clips from first and second year animation floating around and wanted to compile them as I remember them pretty fondly. They still provide me a titter or chuckle. Sometimes a full on guffaw, because I will laugh at my own jokes even 3 years later. And! It’s a Friday afternoon/ evening. Why not just compile fond things i ask you?! Even if they are mostly unfinished or some down right bad?!

i was honored back mid-February when my pal David from World Eaters asked me to do the cover for his new EP, Grinding Advance. This is the full size version that'll be featured on the cassette. It was extra cool because I used to play a solid amount of warhammer back in 02/03 and it's always awesome getting to dive back into that lore, especially in this context. this was probably the most thumbnailing i've done for anything since i couldn't figure out a composition that worked/that i liked. big fan of how it turned out though. My best pal and I made this animated tribute to the Napalm Death song Parasites. Technically it’s not about spiders who take over the world, but in a way it kind of is too eh?

I had the honor this past midsummer/early fall to work on the cover for Nepenthe's EP, Elegies of Loss and Doom. I had a bit of a hard time with the face since I really wanted to accurately portray a look of pain. Also i realized i normally draw a lot of "stoic" faces, by which i mean they dont have a lot of facial expressions, heh. But from carving away I'm happy with how this guy turned out. If you want to add a gothy doomy black metally time to your pseudo winter/late fall day look no further, since it's up on all streaming platforms. Nepenthe and Nomadic Arts should be proud of their work here today...whenever they recorded the album... i guess earlier this year.

Here's some bts for the Hellbreather/@worldeaters666 spilt cover. Since the vocals involved a lot of experimenting in terms of doing things/subjects I normally don't with Teleportoise, i thought the cover should do the same. For no real reason, I haven't drawn a dragon since grade 4! Also i thought what better thing to convey "hellbreather"/"world eater" than a dragon. It had the same good clean fun air that the project had, so having this fun loving fellow popping his head around a harsh volcanic peak made sense.

It's been long enough now though that should the opportunity come up again I think i'll make a new one. I was inspired early quarantine by @goatqveen666 's cassette dubbing efforts and since thought @teleportoise had never released our full length in a physical form it could be worth a shot! It took me a couple of months to fully figure out the dubbing and packaging amidst other distractions, but its been a lot of fun and rewarding making these, especially now that I've got a small neat stack of them. It's a different experience than listening to it on one of the digital formats, but the sound feels appropriate.
