Saints Row IV is definitely a favorite of mine. I love me a fun sci-fi story and it was my introduction to this series. On a more serious note though, it's also a favorite because I got it in a time where I was really down. My mother had passed away a couple months prior. So having a game with some fun humor and a storyline I enjoy helped a bit in relieving some of the grief I was feeling at the time. This is something I'm not the most outward about, but I think I'm more ready to open up a bit 🙏

I finally finished what was meant to be a Valentine's day piece for one of my besties! This is of two of our Saints Row OCs, Ruth and Zindyr. I still have one more piece that I absolutely need to finish for another bestie, which I'll get to next!

So I'm going to share my thoughts on the "Boss/Matt" ship that's fairly popular within the Saints Row fandom.

Personally, I find this ship to be very weird and have spoken to others who have agreed on this. Here's why it's weird. If you have more points to add to this, let's discuss!

Matt is a 16 year old kid when we first meet him in the third game!

Most people's bosses are fully grown adults by this point in the series.

While Matt may be an adult by the fourth game, we still met him when he was a kid. It's definitely weird that he's a romance option.

Now I'd like to note that this does not concern people with very specific headcanons where they've got a boss who's age is close to Matt's or those that alter Matt's sr tt age to be older. Honestly he should've been a young adult in the third game instead anyways, but whatever lol. And for those who weren't aware before that Matt was 16 in the third game, now you are! It's an easy detail to miss as I'm sure it's only mentioned in one of Kinzie's radio ads.
