You’re not a Christian or a witch.. witches don’t exist, and Christian don’t hate.. you hate! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Ah, nothing like hateful anonsense (from a Christian?) on 3/16, or John 3:16 day.
Which works for me, because John 3:16 makes it pretty clear that believing in Jesus is enough to “qualify” to be a Christian. That’s between myself and my God. No one else can decide that.
Also, lemme say that the word “witch” has so many historical connotations and implications, there’s no consensus on what it currently means. I can’t argue about what it means to you. Folks use whatever term feels appropriate (witch, cunning folk, mystic, healer, herbalist, etc.). Tbh, I don’t give a damn if you believe witches are real or not.
But that whole “Christians don’t hate” thing...
Tumblr media
The Hebrew word for “hate” can also be translated to “unlove”. As in, love God, but specifically don’t love evil. Hate is more like the antithesis of love, rather than the vitriolic, violent, and irrational things we’ve come to associate with it.
So, here is a shortlist of Things God Hates (per the Bible) & Christians are encouraged to hate:
Evil - Psalm 97:10, Psalm 26:5, Amos 5:15, Psalm 5:5, Psalm 8:13, Romans 12:9
Wickedness - Psalm 11:5, Psalm 26:5, Psalm 45:7
Falsehoods / Lies - Proverbs 13:5, Psalm 119:163, Proverbs 13:5
Violence & those who love it - Psalm 11:5
The [evil] works of the world - John 7:7
The basic tenet of Christianity is to love people - and hate the things that hurt them. It’s an admirable goal, and I do hate those things that do harm to other people.
It’s just that Some Christians miss the mark on what they’re supposed to hate (evil, hurtful, harmful things) and instead focus that hatred on lgbtq folks, feminism, reproductive rights, intersectionality, economic inequality, different belief systems...I could go on.
To summarize: I don’t care what you think about me, but don’t tell me Christians should never hate. Love should be the goal, but hatred / unlove is not inherently immoral.
Don’t worry Anon, I’m praying for you. My prayer is that you receive all the positivity you put out into the world and reap what you’ve sown 😁

The mayor of a city in Texas reportedly wrote a Facebook post telling residents it was not the government’s job to care for them during trying times, telling them “the strong will survive and the weak will parish [sic]” as an unprecedented winter storm leaves millions without power.
Mayor Tim Boyd of Colorado City, Texas, appears to have made a post on Facebook complaining that his constituents were calling on the government to help them as Winter Storm Uri leaves tens of thousands of people across the country without heat and electricity.
“Let me hurt some feelings while I have a minute!!” Mr Boyd said in his post. “No one owes you are [sic] your family anything; nor is it the local government’s responsibility to support you during trying times like this! Sink or swim it’s your choice! The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING!!”
He then complained that residents were looking for a “hand out” and told people they should have been personally prepared to deal with catastrophic circumstances like the massive winter storm that struck the region, leaving Texans in some areas without heat in single digit temperatures.
“I’m sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout! If you don’t have electricity you step up and come up with a game plan to keep your family warm and safe. If you have no water you deal without and think outside of the box to survive and provide water for your family,” he wrote.
Mr Boyd then accused people of being “lazy” because they are waiting for their power to come back on. He did not offer suggestions as to how individual people could restore Texas’s failed power grid amid the devastating storm.
“If you are sitting at home in the cold because you have no power and are waiting for someone to come rescue you because your [sic] lazy, is direct result of your raising!” he wrote.
Later, Mr Boyd blamed people’s expectations that the government would serve its basic function and provide services for residents to a “socialist government where they feed people to believe that the FEW will work and others will become dependent on handouts.”
It is unclear which government he was referring to, as he is the head of the local government and Donald Trump and the Republican Party ran the country for the past four years until less than a month ago.

Not to sound like a 90s shallow prep, but how you dress can affect your self esteem, and putting energy into wearing things you actively like and projecting an ideal of yourself through fashion instead of seeing clothes as things you have to put on out of obligation helps.
It also can give you a sense of control over your appearance that you otherwise wouldn’t have lmao
