Darkness will rear its quiet head And nuzzle, at first, Like a black pony, a black dog, Whereupon the pony breathes And the dog watches They lay in your mind like water in a ditch And press you slowly like a hall that shrinks As you pass down it The bursting of the dams frees the horrid Shrieks of the owner of the broken body Shattered like windswept windowpane Glass stained by blood and blood And more blood Until No more gasps remain, A garbled plea for air is refused, And the wet, hot face lays stagnant Glancing at nothing in particular To cry is to breathe.

I had almost erased from my mind the features of your face, The brilliance of your smile, the romance of your laughter. I had put aside my silly dreams and fantasies of that which never was. Until today, when I saw you again. It all flooded back into my mind like a bursting torrent of water from a split dam, a fantastical air of whimsy and stardust loosed upon my every breath. For a blissful moment, all things were gone but you. I felt God. But I could not raise my eyes to meet yours. Feeling returned to me like a fly to a carcass. Sadness deep and dark. For to be in your presence is to become anguished past belief. I remembered words traded before; thoughts left unspoken, and the sick feeling in my deepest self. Did you blush, or was it the heat? Did your eyes twinkle, or was it the sun? I knew not, and turned away back into the shadow which light cannot shine past, but through my art. I will not forgive myself for what was, is, and shall be. My heart is eternally yours. You, for whom I long.

Costco is goated, we have not seen a price hike on this stuff yet. The world will truly go to hell when the price for a Costco hotdog and soda goes up from 1.50 (if this happens, I'm abandoning this country and fleeing to... I don't know where. Maybe Japan.

This is beautiful.

They aren't perfect photos, but I loved taking them, and looking at them reminds me of how much I loved being there in that moment. I think that's some part of the art of photography.
