Fallout AU of my characters, instead of working for the US government as an expedition force in not-hell they’re Enclave scientists.

More rambling under the cut:

In the ~normal story~ Connor is swept up in a plot by Reynold Bosch (the head of the Little Diomede program) to murder his colleagues for research purposes. This is fine because people can’t stay dead in not-hell, they come back to life within a day or so without any memories of the moments before their death.

I don’t think this translates terribly well to Fallout but I figured I’d try at least. The Enclave was an easy choice, they already work for the US government in canon. Before their positions being found there I like to think they were NCR citizens who got caught up in a brain drain, probably by some means of blackmail or other threats. Instead of Connor losing his leg in Vietnam, he probably lost it in a battle as an NCR soldier. He still meets Timo the same way though, as the medical officer who has to amputate his leg. I would draw him in a wheelchair since it’s his preferred method of transport, but I think it’s probably less likely for him to be able to travel with one so he has to use an underarm crutch (instead of his forearm crutches he has in the original canon).

Connor and Timo don’t have as much to do that’s in line with their actual doctrines, but Phoebe would still be a chemist. She also still is Reynold’s messenger and coerces Connor to kill people, although this time it’s not his friends (for the most part), it’s citizens of anywhere they can afford to stealthily kill and use their cadavers for research. I guess Reynold’s ideals here are less about immortality for everyone like in the original canon and more about immortality for some, with himself being of most importance. And yes I’m sure he’s aware of stuff like robobrains, he just wants his own method, but being born centuries after all of your best resources are destroyed will make you desperate.

Anyway on the actual drawings: I drew Connor with an eyebot because I love eyebots, but I think Connor would hate them deeply because he has to work with them (what do they think the “bio” in “biophysics” even means?). And then I drew Timo dressed down for funsies, and Connor is of course a freak who has a thing for uniforms, so I wanted to keep that true with his fallout self. The last one is Phoebe doing her job and keeping Connor compliant with Reynold’s plans.
