Ahh that menu is so cute! How did you get it to display like that (especially the picture of the item in the top!)? Is it a certain plugin?

it’s a combination of SRD’s menu editor, which is like wizardry it’s so incredibly useful, and yanfly’s item core (which is where the picture at the top comes from!). the background is a scrolling image that displays on everything inside the main menu, which is from this plugin ! I think that’s everything, I hope it helps ^^

sorry for the long period of absence but I haven’t had proper access to my computer in nearly five months ! would you believe that in all that time, the thing I missed the most about this game were the egg toast sprites ,, here they are I’ll never go without them ever again

I’ve got some plans for this game that I want to try implementing soon, including possibly some pretty Major changes? it all depends on how I feel about it but just know that this game is always subject to change!! I’m messing around let me play in this space

hiya! i recently found your blog and i‘m honestly amazed at what you‘re doing! i love the style of your game and especially the little menu you put together for the different hairstyles! may i ask you how exactly you did it? especially bc its so smoothly animated, i guess it involves a lot of show picture commands? :)) ♥️

hello !! thank you for the compliments !!!♥️ the character creator is using a plugin, I would never have the patience to event something so graphic heavy lol plus I wouldn’t know how to save the character file afterwords...

anyway the plugin can be found here ! It’s honestly quite easy to figure out and doesn’t take too long to set up. If you have any questions about it though, feel free to message me !

I spent several hours working on this yesterday... I intend to add a lot more, at the moment this is all just stuff I already had made (like all the skin tones are just from characters I've already made, so there will be more darker skin color options later!).

I'm open to suggestions for hair and such though! Let me know what you'd like to see. c:

I've been doing a graphical overhaul, turning all the art from 3 pixels wide to 2 pixels wide, which grants for a higher level of detail.

In addition I swapped from a Harvest Moon style clock to a more Persona style one, which will make things so so so much easier to set up from now on and in my opinion, will make playing the game less stressful as well (I don’t know about y’all, but video game clocks stress me out, I wanna take my time).

it’s a simulation game so the story is pretty loose, atm I’m  unsure on things like protag backstory (like, are they a transfer student? were they previously homeschooled? did their mom die and now they live with their aunt? etc) but the main core of the game is just... you do fun stuff, you talk to people, you go on dates, you go to school and try to maintain your grades while also managing stress, and you can like... fish, cook, do part-time work, pet cats, do petty crime like the delinquent you are, etc

some progress on a classroom map! I'm not very good at making sprites sit down but I think this is the best one I've ever done so I'm quite proud of it.

Weird question srry- how did you record your screen of the game playing? Did you use an app?

Oh ! I have Windows 10 and it comes with a game recording software called Game Bar, it opens when you press the windows key + G ! It records the game screen, plus game audio and mic (if you want).

the working title is Candyapple Vale ! I’m not 100% on if I like that as a final title but it works for now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
