All of his effects were made on his little sprite sheet!  I don’t mind uploading those for you guys to look at, as long as you don’t mind seeing 2 effects I didn’t put in the first build (the card effect, which will be in later, and the lighter effect, which I want to change to a different light effect).

I don’t mind if people go wild on the interpretation of these though, that’s the fun of YN fangames - my design now :)

🌺 During Mr. K’s development, the main hub was to be similar to an amusement park, where each area was an “attraction” that Kohei would visit. Due to time constraints and no inspiration on how to make it look like, in the demo it only appears as a space floating into nothingness.

🌺 One of the many name candidates for Seirios were “Polaris”, “Castoris” (which was a variant of “Castor”), “Pollux” and “Centauri”! In the end I settled for “Sirius”, but as I wanted it to sound a more unique and different, I picked the Greek version of the name.

it’s a simulation game so the story is pretty loose, atm I’m  unsure on things like protag backstory (like, are they a transfer student? were they previously homeschooled? did their mom die and now they live with their aunt? etc) but the main core of the game is just... you do fun stuff, you talk to people, you go on dates, you go to school and try to maintain your grades while also managing stress, and you can like... fish, cook, do part-time work, pet cats, do petty crime like the delinquent you are, etc

There’s only one unused map in the game at the moment - the oujia board (ok “spirit board” since oujia is copyrighted - no really!) map.  You were supposed to get to it from the one you could find in the graveyard but I didn’t know what to put on it that would relate to the current release so now i’m >:O that i couldn’t put it in!!! >:OOO

8. What’s your favorite part of game development? Least favorite part of game development?

Probably coming up with the story as well as working on art for the game. I enjoy working on those the most. ^^

My least favorite part would have to be when you are testing an event that does not want to work the way you imagined it and having to keep going back to fix it until you get it right. Beta testing in general can be quite frustrating. ^^’

9. What have been some of your biggest obstacles working on the game so far?

The biggest obstacles for working on the game so far have been trying to come up with unique puzzles as well as working on maps. I sometimes overthink how a map should look. ^^’

16. What are you expecting upon your game’s release?

I’m not sure what to expect actually. I don’t really think about the games release until I’m nearing the end of the game’s development. I’m hoping it will be a game you will like though. ^^

19. What are your sources of inspiration? Any particular music, books, anime or anything else you’d like to share?
