Some sad news to share - Voice actress Tomo Sakurai has passed away at the age of 53 due to cancer. She voiced many memorable characters throughout her career, including Mylene Flare Jenius (Macross 7), Shayla-Shayla (El-Hazard), Marin (Akazukin Chacha), Sara (Shamanic Princess), Meimi/Saint Tail (Mysterious Thief Saint Tail), and Sulia Gaudeamus (Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture), just to name a few. Many of her colleges in the anime industry have already shared condolences, and while her funeral service will be limited to family, her agency is considering holding a farewell event for fans at a later date.

Rest in peace, Tomo-san. Gone far too soon....

Head's up -- The official English release of Stop!! Hibari-kun vol 1 is now up for pre-order at publisher Peow Studio's webstore here! Release is set for "mid November 2025", and they're offering a pre-order gift of a special postcard while supplies last. The book will include both a dust-jacket and an obi, similar to Japanese manga releases.

Tezuka Pro's official YouTube channel uploaded the original Unico pilot film, Black Cloud And White Feathers, for streaming! Previously, the only officil way to watch this pilot was as an extra on Discotek's Unico release. If you've always been curious about it, now's a great time to check it out (as it probably won't be up forever!)
