I appeal to you with all the pain and suffering. We are living in difficult circumstances as a result of the war in Gaza. Our homes have been destroyed and our dreams have faded. We are stuck in Egypt after my wife and I lost our jobs. My family lives in constant fear. My brothers, mother and father also live in Gaza. The catastrophic conditions are the result of bombing and genocide. They are facing an endless nightmare and I need help. Your help to protect my family and restore hope to our hearts
My house was previously a symbol of hope, and now it is nothing but destroyed walls and rubble. Also, my work building was destroyed and we were left without work and a house. These are some memories of pictures between the present and the past.

Poppy Weekend day 3: Future. Poppy and Bea being parents.
Bea was now in their daughter’s room, Elisa helping with her homework. Elisa was a good student but Bea wanted to help out whenever she could to spend time with her because work lately has been draining. Poppy was hesitant at first about having a child, Bea knew this and told her if she didn’t want to they didn’t need to but Poppy wanted to change so she agreed to an insemination.
E: Hey Mom, what’s a horse?
B: A horse is a 4 legged animal, imagine a dog but bigger and have clicky shoes and you can ride them.
E: Oooh I wanna ride one Mom!
B: Maybe when we go to visit the farm ok sweetie?
E: Thanks Mom.
A few minutes later it was bedtime for Elisa, usually Poppy is always in charge of tucking Elisa in for the night, she’s never done this before but she’s willing to try for her daughter’s sake and her own.
P: Good night Elisa, sleep tight ok? If anything’s wrong just call me ok?
E: Ok Mommy, good night.
Poppy tucks Elisa in and kisses her forehead, both her and Bea quietly exit the room.
They went to the kitchen to catch a break, little to Poppy’s knowledge Bea started trying cooking to try and cook for her daughter more instead of getting catering.
P: Who left this here? It’s gonna get cold.
B: *blushes* Umm I did, I sorta decided to take up cooking on the side so I could impress our daughter and maybe you too Poptart. Wanna try it? I promise it tastes good.
P: You made this Hughes? Are you sure you’re not secretly trying to get me sick?
B: Psshh of course not, if I did I would’ve done that a long time ago. Just try it and find out then Poppy or are you too chicken?
P: *her eyes widen* Give me that.
Poppy decided to try out Bea’s chili and to her surprise it actually tasted amazing. Who knew Hughes could actually cook if she wanted to, She wonders if she could get her to cook for her too. Poppy pulled away but Bea notices some of the chili running down Poppy’s chin.
B: Hold up Poppy you got something there let me get it.
While smirking Bea slowly licked Poppy’s chin that got it by the chili, Poppy closed her eyes while letting out a small mewl of pleasure from the sensation of Bea’s tongue across her skin. Goosebumps forming on her arm.
Satisfied, Bea pulled away from Poppy her skin flushed pink and lips parted.
B: So how was the food? Was it good?
P: Hmmm it tasted good enough, you should definitely cook me dinner sometime Hughes or *would you rather have me for dinner instead pet*?
Even though they’ve been married for 2 years now and Bea should expect it, Poppy still the dominant one of the relationship, hence Poppy will call Bea by her pet name whenever she can. Bea always liked how Poppy would call her “Pet” because it meant she was hers and no one else.
After the food Bea sat down on the couch and groaned at the knots on her neck. She’s been working a lot lately as a party planner, sure it wasn’t the best job in the world but she was happy with what she was doing. She was popular too due to her past at Belvoire and their parties. Though she did have to work harder due to the whole Kingsley scandal. Poppy on the other hand was more successful, she started her own company after giving birth to Elisa, it was hard with her lack of know how but with Bea and Ana Min-Sinclair’s help she managed to become a decently big name in the business but it did come with it’s own stresses, Poppy’s reputation from her Belvoire days were still remembered even though she tries to move past those dark memories and she’s competing with her father’s company which adds more fuel to the fire. Poppy tried to offer Bea a job at her company but she refused because even though the pay would be good she wouldn’t really be happy cooped up in an office, she was more a hands on person and prefers the outdoors. Poppy understood Bea’s reasoning and made it work. Ever since then they were a power couple, people loving Bea but also fearing Poppy.
P: You look tense there Bea, here let me help you.
Poppy started massaging Bea’s neck, eliciting a moan from her lips every time she hit a particular knot on her back. It’s taking Poppy every fiber of her being to not just pounce on her.
After massaging the knots out of Bea’s body she goes to Bea and sits on her lap sideways while holding her face in her palms, her breath barely steady.
P: How was that pet? Don’t think I didn’t notice those deliberately loud moans you were making, you could’ve woken up Elisa for goodness sake. The last thing we need is our kid walking in on us.
B: Hehe sorry about that honey but you know you secretly love it.
P: Shut up pet, you will be punished for this tomorrow when Elisa goes to school for soccer practice *so you better prepare that body of yours for a beating*.
B: *smirks* Game on.
Eventually they fell asleep on the couch, too tired from working. Bea lap acting as Poppy’s pillow.
Poppy and Bea’s lives are just beginning.

one starry night (poppy x mc)
Lia didn’t know if she’d ever truly hated Poppy. Been annoyed with her to the point of wanting to pull out her own hair? Sure, wanted to throw her off the roof of the nearest campus building? Yes, but hate wasn’t a thing that had truly ever been in her mind. For some reason that weighed heavily on her mind as she crossed campus on the way to the end of the year party. Zoey was at her side, talking about exactly what was going to go down at the party, who she needed to talk to, and what she needed to do to finally get her spot at number one. Lia should’ve been listening but she was thinking, thinking about the same person she was about to dethrone.
She didn’t need to be. She had Carter practically wrapped around her finger, ever since he’d broken up with Poppy, he’d been hanging around her almost all the time, also talking in her ear while she was thinking about something else (that time it was studying for her upcoming final). She could be talking to Carter, dancing with him, rubbing it in Poppy’s face that in a matter of months she’d walked right in and taken everything from her but she didn’t want to.
The party was loud, it wasn’t like the one she’d been to at Poppy’s dorm earlier in the year, subdued and girls only. This one is loud, and vibrant with flashing lights of all colors and just so many people. The air is hot, with the bodies of so many people crashing against one another as they inhabit the space. The room feels wide but closed off and that feeling of something missing is eating at Lia more than she’ll ever say. But she danced on the floor, let her body become one of many just inhabiting the space.
Carter saddles up to her like she thought he would, “Hey,” His voice sounds clear like it always does. He was drunk, she could smell the alcohol on his breath, but somehow he still sounded like he was on his first drink. “You look great,” And she rolled her eyes. That seemed like the only thing he knew how to talk about, every time it was how great she looked, what her ranking was that weak, what he was doing with the frat.
Like everything at school, he was hollow. She enjoyed chasing the queenship, more than she would admit to anyone (because she didn’t want them to think she was some power-hungry psychopath) but it all still felt empty. Even when she knew that everyone was probably lying to her in some way, everyone’s words were empty and devoid of true meaning or anything, it didn’t make it feel any better. Knowing that she truly only had herself, was lonelier than she’d thought it would be.
Her thoughts are getting the better of her, so to avoid anyone getting the wrong idea she walked off to the side of the party to try and clear her head. When that didn’t work she walked outside, where she could still hear the sounds of the bass pumping through the walls, and the lights streamed through the windows to color the grass. She simply leaned up against the wall and looked up.
A few minutes later a flash of pink flashed her vision and before she could say anything Poppy Min-Sinclair appeared before her eyes, smirking like some kind of Cheshire cat.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of the wicked witch of the west?” She sneered.
“Pleasure? I see you’re warming up to me then, are you Blue Ridge?” Poppy says back, standing right in front of Lia, blocking her view.
Lia rolled her eyes, “No one could warm up in the precedence of you, you’re as cold as ice, in fact, I might want to just walk back home and grab a jacket right now.”
Her face turned into an expression Lia couldn’t understand, “I heard you were coming here to end me once and for all.”
“Where did you hear that?”
“I have ears everywhere Blue Ridge,” She crossed her arms over her chest.
“Stop sounding like James Bond for one minute, you do realize there are other things in life right?”
“If this is so unimportant then why don’t you give up?” She asked, her voice getting louder. “Don’t play the game and all that.”
Lia took a step closer so that they were only inches apart, “Because I would do anything to wipe that stupid look off your face.”
“Why don’t you then?”
“Because-” Lia shouted at the top of her lungs, the heat of the argument enveloping the air.
And then Poppy kissed her.
It all happened so fast. Suddenly her lips were pressed against Poppy’s and the world stopped spinning and her thoughts stopped spinning and everything was so clear. The world was dizzily clear from the moment she pressed her lips against hers, it was fleeting and it only lasted a moment but it changed everything.
Lia never hated Poppy, she never had and she never would.
She loved her. How it took her only one kiss at one moment outside a continually loud party she didn’t know, but that was how she felt. Poppy pulled away and looked almost embarrassed, but Lia went back in and kissed her again, and again, and again. The world exploded in soft pinks, and blues, and then a clear night came into view.
“What about Carter?” Poppy said.
“What about him?” Lia replied, “He has to be the lamest guy I have ever met. I would never waste my time on him, I’ve known that for a month now.”
Poppy giggled, in a way that Lia had never heard before, because it was real. She leaned in and whispered in Lia’s ear, so close that her lips brushed against Lia’s ear as she talked, “Meet me at my dorm at midnight.”
And it was when Poppy was back in the party that Lia realized there was something already in motion that she couldn’t stop.
Poppy Min-Sinclair was going to be exposed to the T in less than an hour, and Lia was still in love with her.

Poppy Weekend day 2. Prompt: Present. Marriage.
The day was finally here, Poppy was marrying the love of her life, Bea Hughes. It wasn’t easy, hell even Zoey was skeptical and if Bea wasn’t just playing along but in the end she saw Bea really loved her and accepted it, while she never forgave Poppy for what she did to her, she’s willing to put it aside for Bea’s sake and her happiness. Poppy wore her signature light pink gown while Bea went a different route and wore a black suit with maroon highlights over a white blouse. She was perfect and Poppy didn’t know what she did to deserve her. They didn’t have a public wedding, just a private one in privately owned estate. Bea and Poppy had been practicing on how to officiate a wedding, sure they needed a pastor but the two of them have never been straightforward with anything, plus they could just deal with it afterwards.
B: The bride may now say her vows.
P: Bea, I know I’m not perfect you do everyone does, I don’t think that’s a surprise at this point. We’re both polar opposites to each other but I think that’s by design, when we first met at the quad you challenged me, the first ever fresh meat to ever do that an live, no matter how much I threw at you, you kept fighting and you pushed me to become better and better, I guess at some point after the party something changed, there was a tiny voice in my head telling me to try and love you, not just as a trophy but as an equal person but I was too scared because it didn’t fit my narrative. Yet you kept trying to break me down and I was too selfish to notice it and just continued to use you as I saw fit. After graduation and you confessing your love to me, I felt.. happy, genuinely happy for the first time in ages. I expected to be angry and I was but deep down I was jumping like a schoolgirl and here we are today. I’m willing and trying to become a better person, not for my parents, not for anyone but for me and if you’ll have me, we’ll do it together till death do us part. Bea I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
Bea was touched at the raw emotion that Poppy displayed, almost crying at the sight but she needed to stay strong and read her vows.
B: Poppy, when we first met I saw you as my arch-enemy, the former HBIC I needed to take down to become HBIC myself. At first I was only playing along to up my own agenda but the more we started fighting, the more in love I think I felt for you. Yes you’ve done some horrible shit like what you did with Zoey and Kingsley but you tried to become better and that effort alone counts for alot Poppy. You’re not perfect but you don’t have to be, you’re enough, for me and yourself and if anyone can’t see that then screw them. I do regret some of the things I did to you even though you had them coming but one thing I won’t regret was confessing my love to you during graduation and I know you didn’t either. Poppy our life has never been easy and I don’t think it ever is, we will have fights granted not as heated as our Belvoire era but we’ll still have them. You dropped the Min-Sinclair name and fortune just to be happy and I’m proud of you. Poppy I want to spend my life with you if you’ll have me.
Bea pulled her ring on and slipped it on Poppy’s finger while Poppy did the same for Bea.
Bea kissed Poppy’s ring and continued on.
B: Do you Poppy Hughes take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?
P: I do.
P: Do you Bea Hughes take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?
B: I do.
P: Then by the power invested in me I pronounce you woman and wife *smirks* you may now kiss the bride.
B: Gladly.
Bea closed in and kissed Poppy under the arch but it was just a chaste kiss, lacking the heat Poppy was expecting but she knew Bea was holding back because the honeymoon is next.
B: “You’ll get more of that when our honeymoon starts Ms. Hughes”
P: I look forward to it pet. Now smile for the camera.

teeth
[Image ID: a woman with her mouth open and her hand on her face reflected in a mirror, colorized purple and with the text “teeth” edited over it. End ID.]
An MC/Poppy smut-with-feelings fic, or: the MC/Poppy only remix of cooler than me. Requested by @ohmycheesencrackers. Rated E; minors DNI. Read chapter 7 below the cut or on AO3 here, or the full fic from the beginning here.
Bea chats up football players and alums and so many of the rich and famous she’s getting whiplash. This time last year, she thought a nice night was getting to go to the mall. A great night was a concert from a band she didn’t even really like in the one city within seven hours of Farmsville. This was so far out of reach the idea of it was barely worth entertaining in a fantasy.
She doesn’t know if she prefers it. Obviously she likes being able to buy whatever she wants, she likes the shiny, pretty things, she likes…some of the company. But everyone’s performing some version of themselves, herself included, even the cool people like Carter. In Farmsville, when she smiled at someone and told them it was great to meet them, she meant it. Now, not so much.

have you listened to "i bet you think about me" by taylor swift?
i think this song fits Poppy and MC so good. maybe you could write something inspired by it? in your writing it would be a masterpiece
Poppy's wedding is on a rainy Thursday afternoon, which is unfortunate but... befitting in an odd kind of way that Poppy can’t quite name.
she can hear distant murmurings from further down the hall—her mother, she guesses, no doubt looking for her.
not long now her brain sing-songs, as though its privy to some crucial piece of information that’s just out of her reach.
she finds a bathroom—a place that’s steadily become more comforting as the years have rolled on—and washes her hands and studies her reflection. she looks tired, even with the makeup, and Poppy wonders if anyone else has noticed.
and then a flash of red and blonde hair and a stupidly familiar grin.
she turns. expects to see—
she’s alone. the bathroom’s empty.
definitely tired, she thinks, and rubs her eyes, squints even.
Poppy squeezes her eyes shut and tries to calm her heart. she opens her eyes and the red and hair and smug grin are back.
“AJ.” Poppy itches to step forward and poke at AJ.
AJ’s smug grin remains firmly in place as she leans back on the heels of her shoes and clicks her tongue, as though saying spooky, huh?
“you’re not supposed to be here,” Poppy says.
“it’s a good thing i’m not then.” she’s still being smug.
"then what the fuck are you if you’re not here?” this time Poppy does step forward to poke at AJ’s shoulder. solid.
“not a ghost,” AJ shrugs, “technically.”
“technically?”
“i’m a memory—your memory—and memories are a bit like ghosts. sometimes they haunt you.” AJ does this thing where she waggles her fingers in Poppy’s face. Poppy swats AJ’s hand away.
“what do you want?”
AJ shrugs again. “i dunno. i’m your memory, remember? maybe you could tell me.”
“this is stupid.”
“probably.”
“i’m talking to the air.”
“rude.”
Poppy glares and then, before AJ has a chance to do anything, she spins on her heels and marches right out of the bathroom. she’s peripherally aware of AJ calling out to her.
she stops in a courtyard connect the main building and a smaller hall where her wedding is slated to take place.
“feeling better yet?”
Poppy jumps and turns to find AJ standing behind her.
“how—?”
“i’m your memory, remember? where you go, i go.”
Poppy sighs but seems to accept the rules of whatever-the-fuck this interaction is.
“quite the shindig you’ve got here,” AJ says in that effortlessly charming way that Poppy used to insist was annoying. she kind of misses it now.
“thanks.”
“excited?”
it’s Poppy who shrugs this time.
“romantic.”
“what’d you want me to say then?” she spins on AJ, fuming. she steps up close to her and can almost—almost—smell her. “do you want me to wax poetry about this man my parents have picked for me? spin some epic tale about love and soulmates and eternity?”
“sorry,” and she does seem genuine as she speaks, “i just thought—”
“thought what? that you’d appear after a decade and upset me on my wedding day?”
"does it make you sad?" and there's a shift in AJ's tone. not quite dejected. no. it's something almost painfully curious.
"does what?" Poppy snaps, knows she probably shouldn't, but finds that she can't help but slip back into old habits.
"that the love you're looking for is the love that you had?"
she feels the air leave her lungs, squeezes her eyes shut, and wills herself not to have another meltdown at the hands of AJ.
“it’s not too late, you know.”
after a beat, Poppy says, “i’m scared.”
“yeah, me too. i’ll probably pretend that i’m not, but i will be. but maybe that’s a good thing? maybe that fear means it’s worth it.”
“or maybe it means i’m talking to a not-ghost version of my ex about running away from my wedding to tell said ex, who i haven’t seen in a decade by the way, that i still love her.”
AJ laughs, easy and loud in the way that it so often is. “maybe. but go easy on yourself with whatever you decide.”
“thanks.”
“anytime.”
a gentle melody makes its way into the courtyard.
“sounds like they’re ready for you,” AJ says, but she doesn’t look away from Poppy.
“yeah.” Poppy holds AJ’s gaze too and wonders, as the music swells around her, what she’s going to do now.
