Today was unlike any other.

We received some donations and with them, we had our first food, rent, treatments e.t.c in over a month.For the first time in so long, we didn’t go to sleep hungry . We cried, not from pain this time, but from overwhelming joy and gratitude.

To everyone who donated, shared, or simply kept us in their thoughts thank you. You didn’t just feed us. You reminded us that we’re not alone. You gave us back piece of our dignity and hope.

But the struggle isn’t over . We’re still in need of food, support, and a little more light in these hard times.

🆘 URGENT APPEAL FROM GOROM REFUGEE CAMP, SOUTH SUDAN 🏳️‍🌈

My name is Nankabiri, a transgender woman and leader of the LGBTQ+ community in Gorom Refugee Camp. Our group of 214 LGBTQ+ individuals—including transgender people, lesbian women, and single mothers, is facing dire living conditions.

💔 Many of us go days without food

🚱 We lack clean water and safe shelter

🏥 There is no access to basic medical care

🩸 Lesbian women have no sanitary pads

👩‍👧 Single mothers are struggling to feed their children

We are sick, hungry, and forgotten—but not without hope.

My name is Nankabiri, a transgender woman and one of the leaders of the LGBTQ+ community in Gorom Refugee Camp, South Sudan.

Our group includes 214 LGBTQ+ individuals, including transgender people, lesbian women, and single mothers. We are facing extreme hardship ,many of us go days without food, lack access to clean water, safe shelter, and medical care. Some in our community are sick with no access to treatment.

Lesbian women in our group don’t have access to sanitary pads, and single mothers are struggling to feed their children.

As Pride Month is a time of visibility and dignity, we are asking for your support to help us celebrate just one day of joy and community, a day to remind ourselves that we matter.

We are raising $1,540 (Ksh 194,250) to cover:

• Food (rice, Irish potatoes, local bananas, cooking oil, onions, tomatoes, spices, cabbages)

• Drinks (soda, clean water, and more)

• Charcoal (for cooking, since we have no gas)

• 3 goats for a shared meal
