Joke of hopping on the skirt/dress train as the weather’s been heating up aside, I really didn’t expect my clothing preferences to change when I started my transition. 

The change in clothing, however, isn’t me suddenly allowing myself to wear things that I wouldn’t before.   I’m not going to say that I never experimented with women’s clothing growing up, because I absolutely did, but since I didn’t have the frame for it, I didn’t like the way I looked in them.

Even just a few months ago I tried out a dress and got really upset when I saw myself in the mirror; the fit just wasn’t right…

…yet.

I’m still early in my transition and no one is going to see me and immediately think “lady”, and that’s ok.  But my body has changed enough that I do like the way I look in feminine clothes, and that’s what matters to me. 

I never repressed my wardrobe desires; I have always, and will continue to, wear what I feel I look good in.

What I feel I look good in just happens to be evolving as my body changes.
