hi viktor! right now, i'm having some trouble with my university- i want to take a class that's relevant to my course, but not technically on the list of approved classes, and the paperwork is taking a long time to sort out!

when you were still a student, did you take any classes that weren't technically part of your course, or covered a slightly different subject? are there any that you wish you'd had the chance to take?

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulty in exploring classes outside your program. I find the best inventors draw from multiple disciplines.

I audited several philosophy and history courses, though I never officially enrolled in them. I also attended guest lectures in multiple departments, and occasionally was persuaded to “step in” for violinists too ill to perform during orchestral events.

I learned much from these experiences, and found context for my scientific research within the humanities. Tell me, what course do you seek to take? Have you succeeded in adding it to your schedule?

Hi there, Viktor! Mr. HexTech himself haha :) Do the fluctuating weather patterns/air pressures affect your leg at all? My leg has been hurting very bad lately :,/ it's very rainy here... I don't have any mobility aid for it, I just go slow when it flares up. I hope you and Jayce are having fun with your current projects!

I do indeed experience, eh, “flare ups” when I encounter extreme weather. Part of my condition is neurological, a degenerative illness related to the condition which bowed my legs as a child. As such, I experience worse pain in the summer months, but more fatigue during the winter. I prefer the pain. It slows me less.

I am sorry to hear that you too are experiencing difficulty. I hope you find solace in a more temperate climate in the future, and also acquire a mobility aid to assist you in your ventures. Thank you for your kind words, and I wish you the very best moving forward.

I love all of them, but my current favorite is Trachycephalus Resinifictrix. I think they're adorable, and I'm fond of their color.

I am not studied in amphibians, though they have always fascinated me… such elegant adaptations, thriving in that liminal space between water and land. Evolutionarily efficient, biomechanically interesting… your Amazon milk frog secretes milky poison, does it not?

Frogs are such fragile creatures, small and easily underestimated, but they can be bright, dangerous, and surprisingly agile. I can see why you are drawn to them.

Sometimes I do not feel human or like I belong in human society. Sometimes it bothers me a lot, similar to the way some experience gender dysphoria, except it’s over my entire existence as a being with flesh and blood and consciousness in the form that it is.

Your plight perhaps speaks to societal dissatisfaction I myself often feel. You are reaching for a truth deeper than that most accept without question. You wonder at the very merit of your flesh and its constraints. You ask if you can become something more. My body has long been a battleground, its right to health challenged from my inception by biology and society alike. Yet even as it is slowly replaced by steel, held aloft by metal, my form exists as a testament to humanity. It is a site of progress, yes, but also a place of love, of care, of feeling. My brain is electric. My desires, alchemical. If you feel inhuman, perhaps redefine what “human” means to you. Many of us seek to transcend the corporeal. Existential dysphoria has compelled me to seek progress for humanity as a whole, to make the world a better place. Your journey, whatever it may be, I am sure will be glorious.
