When in Bicol, one of the tourist destination that you should not miss to visit is the Cagsawa Ruins.

Cagsawa Ruins is the perfect spot to see the Mayon Volcano. But usually the Mt. Mayon is covered with clouds and if lucky you can get a clear view of the volcanic mountain from the ruins. The place is also good for souvenir shopping. Some shops are selling handicrafts, shirts & handbags.

One of the popular activities in Daraga, Albay today is riding an ATV through various trails near Mt. Mayon. We surprisingly enjoyed the ATV ride via Cagsawa trail, which is best for beginners like us.

Mt Ulap Eco-trail is one of the best, friendliest and most organized trail I’ve been to. It’s a good model for other local trails to follow. It has cool pine forest, stunning ridges and healthy vegetation. The trek can take 4-6 hours or more depending on your level of fitness or aim. If you take pictures a lot it can take longer.

These scenic views made us forget about our full packs and the heat of the sun. It’s like you wanna stop and take a photo everywhere you look.
