I missed the deadline for Disability Pride Month, but I still wanted to celebrate returning to The Sims 4 on a working computer by sharing my first crappy CAS recolor. Gotta start somewhere!

8 swatches of recolored base game shirts that are by no means exhaustive, but bring a little awareness and pride for disabled sims and simmers.

First release of the Little Sims on the Prairie Project!

If you look through photographs of non-rich men from the 19th century, you see a whole lot of suspenders + vests. And while TS4cc land has oh-so-many suspender options, vests are much harder to come by. So, I decided to give the Willow Creek Frontier boys some more options. :) INCLUDED:

- 4 BG compatible shirts with the mandarin-type collar common in the 19th century & vests, open & closed, with and without lapels

- 1 pair of BG Tuxedo Pants recolors

All with swatches from my Victorian Evening, Hickory & Ash, and Pelt & Leather color palettes.

When creating a simblr, I decided to keep myself out of it as much as possible and let my creations/story stand for themselves. I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with the Sims of History community who have adopted the mantra of “Vintage style, not vintage values.” So, especially with some recent hateful comments going around (sometimes from unexpected sources), I wanted to be upfront from the beginning about my commitment to intersectionality.

Activism, racial justice, feminism should all be inclusive. Black lives matter. Trans lives matter. Indigenous people matter. Jewish people matter. There are so many gender, sexuality, national, religious, and ethnic identities and I truly believe we should be striving to come together on common ground, not be divisive. As long as you’re not hurting anyone else (see: pedophilia is a HARD NO—no excuse for that behavior; same with white supremacy, no excuses).

My content may not even be of interest, but if it is, I hope to make a safe space for you with my little corner of tumblr. If you are an exclusionary person, though, you probably won’t feel comfortable here. Also, to be transparent: I’m an adult, so if minors feel uncomfortable it is a wise idea to simply not interact. It doesn’t mean I don’t think minors belong in the community, I do, they just deserve a safe space to share their creativity.

All this doesn’t mean I’m perfect! I’m sure I will make mistakes and offenses. I’m learning and a work in progress. I do want to be open to feedback and utilize content warnings to be mindful to my audience. (I don’t really have much sensitive content yet, but I may in the future.)

This is not intended to start a debate or drama. Just a simple statement from a new and small simblr that I want to be inclusive. Though I’m really just telling stories and building things, so it’s hardly social justice. Even so, I hope it’s a small comfort that the person behind the screen sees you as a precious, invaluable human being.

Little Sims on the Prairie Project LAUNCH!

Originally my goal was to release a mini-pack today, my birthday!!!, and I had been super hyper-focused on learning blender and working on things all month, as well as collecting contributions from other historical simming friends. But now my birthday is almost over and I’ve spent the entire day still trying to fix all the little issues I keep finding with nothing 100% done, and many collaborators are not finished yet either.

SO, instead of today being the release day, I’m switching it up. Today is LAUNCH day!

So from now for the next month .. or few??.. I will be releasing items as I and others finish them, and then maybe at Halloween or Harvestfest I can bundle all the cc together for easier mass downloading and release it as a fanpack + mini-save! keep reading @ patreon, where the stuff will be downloadable (free!).  (PS: If you want to contribute anything to this project, please let me know!!)

PS: You can follow creators without giving them money, so please follow me over there if you want to make sure you don’t miss any of the LSoP goodies, since we all know tumblr can be a mess.

For years after a fire shattered her life, Olivia Hamada stagnated. Her father, the department chair for Environmental Studies at U of Britechester, urged her to attend uni. Liv knew she needed to get away. She moved to Evergreen Harbor and began renovating an old auto shop with a little help from some friends. In the garage, Liv hopes she can find a new spark.
