Bruce has a lot of secrets. His biggest one, perhaps, is that Damian is not his firstborn.

Bruce had a bit of a fling with a married couple at a science convention, fifteen or so years ago when he'd been the young, young age of thirty. Naturally, upon realizing that the condom had broken, he immediately started keeping tabs.

Maddie was revealed to be pregnant only eight weeks later.

He kept his tabs, worked his cases, and monitored her progress. Even if the child was her husband, Jack's, he wanted to make sure she was having a safe pregnancy; she'd told him at the convention that carrying Jazz had damn near killed her.

Once Daniel Fenton was born, he'd discreetly gone to the hospital, in disguise, and drawn some blood.

It was confirmed; he was Daniel Fenton's biological father.

But Daniel was safe, with loving parents who weren't involved in being a vigilante and all the absurdity that entailed.

Bruce went out of his way to erase any evidence that he'd ever done the DNA test, or that he'd been at the convention, or that he knew Jack or Maddie. His only allowance is weekly check ins, to make sure none of his enemies have found out about Daniel.

Now, though, Bruce has a problem.

Because Amity Park, the city his actual firstborn lives in, has disappeared off the face of the map. When he returned from the time stream, after things had gotten back under control, he could not find Amity anymore when he tried to do his usual check in.

All records of it were erased.

I am now very sad, one of my favorite Red Robin fics was deleted, I’ve been checking up on it for the past few months (to check for updates, I keep it in the ‘marked for later’ section of ao3), and today, I came across this sad little message:

I’m pretty sure this was the only cancer fic I’ve appreciated reading (while I personally have not been diagnosed with cancer, family members I’m close with have been, and it feels cathartic for me to read about these recoveries. I get a sort of closure from it, if that makes any sense), most others that I’ve come across feel rushed and/or force far too many original characters into the spotlight. So this one was pretty special to me, with the way it balance everything, not solely focusing on one aspect.

I’m sad to see it go, it was a fairly long fic, Tim Drake centric, included the bad batfam (while they’re mostly just willingly ignorant and ‘oblivious’, neglect is not okay at all), and it included ‘uncle Eddie’ along with Harley and Ivy. Also- I like how JJ was referenced in it as well, and Harley knowing that JJ was/is Tim. Honestly I like fics where Tim may or may not know of his time stuck as JJ, and it later being revealed that Bruce erased those memories to prevent him from potentially reverting back (which is also pretty messed up- like good god).

Still, I’m very sad to see it go, the arc to recovery was just starting and Tim was beginning to realize he didn’t need the Batfam’s validation, and he found new people that he can support and they’ll do the same.

There was unresolved plot- the Scarecrow was a brand new villain here, nobody knowing who he is yet - and the cherry on top, Tim goes to therapy. His therapist? One Jonathan Crane. Oh and I guess Lex Luthor is there too, he just wanted to recruit Tim to get the LOA out of Metropolis.

So long, you beautiful piece of writing. 😔

DP x DC prompts/drabbles

1.

Jason didn’t know much about what his new gun did. To be fair, the guy who gave it to him left without much of an explanation.

It sort of went like this:

“Hey I need to pick out a new Fright Knight and you’re the best candidate- here’s a new weapon, it’ll morph into something preferable towards your fighting style. Oh! And it send people to a nightmare dimension, I trust that you’ll use it responsibly byeeeeee~”

And then the guy dressed like Victorian royalty just vanished.

What the fuck was his life?

Tucker didn’t expect to be kidnapping children, but here he was.

He was at a technology convention in Gotham, his parents bought the tickets for his 18th birthday. His parents dropped him off and waved goodbye as they left - they’d pick him up later.

It isn’t long before he spots Technus, the ghost discreetly stealing tech from each table.

What makes it worse is that the GIW was there, showcasing new ghost weapons and sensors.

Tucker now has to get Technus out of there before he triggers on of the GIW’s sensors, but someone else manages to do it first.

One of the Wayne kids, Damian, if he’s remembering correctly, trips one of the sensors, causing all of the GIW agents present to start firing weapons at the kid.

He decides to grab the kid by the wrist, dragging him into the hallways and out of the building before GIW reinforcements swarm the place. Technus, chose that moment to appear next to his protégé, arms full of stolen tech.

“I’d like to emphasize that it wasn’t me.”

Jason escaped the League, he was angry, so so angry all the time.

He ended up in a little town named Amity Park. The ghost protector there seems to have taken and interest in him, calling him “just a baby” or “a little guy”.

He would like to emphasize that his time in the League caused him to become built like a brick wall. He was far, far from a “little guy”.

…but it was nice being around the kid, the pits quieted and he felt like he had time to just… sit down and relax…

It was nice…

Those idiots in white were not, though.

This is (mostly) a DC prompt. But I’ve been reading the Billy Batson and and the Justice League fics and I love the ones where he and Captain Marvel become two different entities.

But- now hear me out.

They get split and separated, so the Captain is at an unknown location and Billy has to convince the League to help him find his “dad” or whatever excuse he comes up with. (Could be vice versa- where the Captain has to convince the team to look for his “son”)

But here what I really pictured:

so if you’ve watched Steven Universe (not including Steven Universe Future), remember the scene towards the end of the show where Steven and Pink Steven re-fuse back together and it’s just them smiling as they become one again? If you don’t, rewatch it and then replace those two with Billy and Captain Marvel. :)

Billy and Marvel just re-fusing. is just. You can do anything, make up anything, get creative with it. That’s where this came from. Kinda.

DC x MCU Brainrot is starting to take over DC x MCU fanfic prompt

Lemme set the scene for you:

One Bruce Banner + a little Hulk on the side ends up in Gotham, it's sometime in the summer, just before school starts.

Perhaps throw in a meeting or two with Harley Quinn and a bit of a newfound balance with the big guy and then: He becomes a chemistry teacher at Gotham Academy.

And out of all his students, One Timothy Drake (or Duke Thomas if you want - please I love him, he's so cool) sits in the back of his last class of the day, every day.

Dr. Banner was good at faking documents - especially in a world without Stark Industries - but he was far from the best.

So who is this Bruce Banner. And why is he always looking a bit green.
